We are looking for a creative storyteller to write clever product copy descriptions for that highlights our brand strategies for our site. You will write based on the established Brand voice for and be a partner to the Marketing, Merchandising, Consumer Engagement and Design teams. You will have some creative freedom and responsibilities, but we prefer that you are open to guidance, absorbing new information and working on a team.

You will report to Sr Manager, Creative Operations



  • Provide targeted, creative copy that is aligned with marketing goals
  • Adapt to a variety of Disney brand "voices" based on our franchises, style guide requirements and guidelines

  • Write and edit high-volume product copy for hardlines and softlines
  • Produce an average of 25 product descriptions per day
  • Work with Merchant team to highlight features and benefits of our product to create differentiation within the marketplace
  • Write copy that conveys the important details and features of every product in a manner that reflects the character or franchise.
  • Combine information with storytelling that emphasizes the best attributes of the product.
  • Provide the detailed accuracy and authenticity expected of Disney, highlighting exclusivity and inspiration behind the products, celebrating the artists that make our products special

Basic Qualifications

  • 3 or more years Ecommerce product description copywriting experience
  • Familiar with the Disney /Pixar/ Star Wars / Marvel brands, its multiple franchises and characters
  • Knowledge of the Parks, the attractions, and its history
  • Demonstrate an understanding of how to address target audience, fan based on product/affinity
  • Experience in the retail industry; background in fashion, accessories, home and toy industries
  • Experienced with writing product copy, both hardlines and softlines
  • Manage a variety of projects and prioritize based on product launch date
  • Accurate proof reader and editor
  • Knowledge of SEO and Mobile first approach to copy writing style
  • Knowledge of SFCC

Required Education

  • BA in Communications, Journalism, Liberal Arts or equivalent experience.
  • Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or Business
