The Walt Disney World Resort invites you to be our Guest and explore Bus Mechanic opportunities! All applications will be reviewed and if you meet the qualifications, an invitation to schedule an interview will be sent to you. Interviews will occur on Thursday, June 22, 2023, from 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM on Disney property and directions to the interview location will be sent to those who are invited. These interviews will not be conducted at the WDW Casting Center.


Roles may include:
  • Full Time Fleet B Bus/Diesel Mechanic
  • Full Time Area Mechanic Mechanical
Full Time requires full availability for any shift, seven (7) days per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays

The starting pay for Fleet B Mechanic is $26.29/hourly
The starting pay for Area Mechanic Mechanical is $22.76/hourly

Responsibilities:

Bus Mechanics:
Bus Mechanics are responsible for keeping our bus fleet in full repair so that our Guests get where they need to go on time, comfortably, and safely. Our first-class facility has state-of-the-art lifts and equipment, excellent ventilation --even awnings to keep the sun off your back. The mechanics answer non-routine service calls, perform daily fleet inspections, fueling, and minor repairs at the satellite maintenance facility.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4 years of relative in-field professional experience
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid FL Driver's license
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency in standard office software programs and mobile electronic devices
  • Ability to work from elevated platforms and confined spaces
Fleet B Bus/Diesel Mechanic:
A valid Florida CDL Class A or B with passenger endorsement, or a valid Florida CDL Class A or B Permit with Passenger endorsement is required upon hire. Additionally, ASE certification(s) in T4 or H4 ‘Air Brakes’ and EPA MVAC 609 Air Conditioning certification will be required within 90 days of hire. This position is a DOT compliant position. The Company will provide the required CDL training.

Area Mechanic Mechanical:
A valid FLDL is required upon hire. You will need to obtain a valid Florida CDL Class A or B, with passenger permit within 90 days of hire. Additionally, ASE certification(s) in T4 or H4 ‘Air Brakes’ and EPA MVAC 609 Air Conditioning certification will be required within 90 days of hire. The Company will provide the required CDL training.

Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Please note that the principles of seniority are used to schedule all roles.
