Job Summary:

Expression of Interest: This posting is for conference attendees at National Association of Black Journalists, National Association of Hispanic Journalists (#NABJNAHJ), Asian American Journalists Association (#AAJA22) and Association of LGBTQ Journalists (NJGAA) to submit your resume for future consideration; this is not a role that is open at this time. We anticipate this role may be open in the future, but we are not actively hiring for a specific position with this posting. Future consideration of Public Relations/Communications roles with The Walt Disney Company including the following segments: 

·       Disney Parks, Experiences and Products (DPEP) 

·       Disney Media Entertainment Distribution (DMED) 

·       Disney General Entertainment 

·       Walt Disney Studios 

·       ESPN 

·       Corporate (overarching support of company initiatives spanning multiple segments)  

 

These potential roles could include the following disciplines: 

·       Public Relations  

·       Publicity  

·       Media Relations 

·       Digital/Social Media Strategy & Content Creation 

·       External Communications  

·       Internal Communications 

·       Executive Communications/Speechwriting 

·       Public Affairs 

·       Corporate Communications 

·       Human Resources Communications  

·       DE&I Communications  

·       Talent Acquisition Marketing & Communications  

·       Corporate Social Responsibility & Enterprise Social Responsibility (CSR/ESR) 

·       Government Relations 

 

For openings in these areas, the following type of experience and education is often desired. 

·       For some roles, previous journalism experience and/or a background working with media outlets (print, broadcast, digital, etc.) 

·       Professional experience working in Corporate Communications, Public Relations, Events, CSR/ESR, Government Relations, etc. (specific discipline and years of experience depends on the type/level of the role)  

·       Ability to find, develop and pitch stories to drive brand awareness 

·       Strong writing and editing skills 

·       Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects and work within deadlines 

·       Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization  

·       A commitment to working in ways that support and encourage diversity and inclusion  

·       Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or a related field; or equivalent work experience 

 

Locations could include: Orlando, Florida; Bristol, CT; New York City; Burbank/Glendale, CA or Anaheim, CA
