- This role is considered hybrid, which means the employee will work a portion of their time on-site from a Company designated location and the remainder of their time remotely.

Job Summary:

The Lead Application Architect ensures the integrity, security, availability, effectiveness, and efficiency of DPEP Technology & Digital supported applications. The Lead Application Architect creates and maintains the baseline and target application architecture model and develops the IT roadmap for applications.  The Lead Application Architect also administers application-specific standards and provides design recommendations based on long-term organization strategy. The Lead Application Architect develops application and custom integration solutions, including major enhancements and interfaces, functions, and features.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a real-time architecture that pushes content to mobile devices.
  • Innovate using latest mobile and server-side technologies. Research developments in machine learning, data analytics, cloud and personalization.
  • Reduce overall costs and time frame to release new capabilities. Improve on infrastructure deployment to manage costs while improving up-time. Architect for 5-Nines. *Manage upgrade and patches.
  • Unify org structure, org technologies and org processes via building relationships across orgs, doing and/or coordinating PoCs to illustrate ROI and improved guest experience.
  • Scale architecture to be reusable across any hosting solution, including cruise-ships.
  • Provide oversight to and work with Solution Architects and Application Architects for project initiatives. Build and maintain AIDs, working with Security and Reference Architecture
     

Basic Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar field or related work experience.
  • 10 to 15 years of relevant IT work experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of architecture, application design, system engineering, and integration.
  • Experience writing technical specifications and technical documentation.
  • Experience interpreting an extensive variety of technical instructions in written or diagram form and dealing with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Experience with multiple diverse technologies and environments.
  • Broad knowledge of industry standard best practices.
  • Has general knowledge and demonstrates understanding of the entire DPEP Technology & Digital application landscape.
  • Extensive knowledge of architecture frameworks and tools.
  • Research and analysis experience designing new architecture frameworks or enhancing existing architectures.
  • Troubleshooting skills, the ability to determine issue impact, the ability to resolve complex issues, and the ability to consistently exercise sound judgment and initiative in stressful situations.
  • Working knowledge of major components of Swift, Kotlin, Java, and Python.
