The Manager, Technology sits under the CPGP Technology & Digital group. In this role, you will be responsible for leading Supply Chain Services Platform sustainment and delivery projects. You will collaborate with multiple business partners, solution engineering, program & project teams, to drive business outcomes. The Supply Chain Services Platform is a business-critical Disney built Data Hub that provides integrations between various Supply Chain platforms like Warehouse Management System, Retail Merchandising System, and Financial Systems. The successful candidate requires technical knowledge and skills that are broad and deep, covering various software and platforms and a strong background implementing best-fit technically architected solutions that align to business goals. The Manager, technology will report to the Director of Technology.

What You Will Do

  • Partner with vendors to set priorities and schedule deliverables for software releases.

  • Lead on-call response to critical operational issues and support implementation knowledge transition.

  • Assist in resolving production issues and perform root cause analysis with emphasis on corrective action planning activities requiring service design changes (technology or process).

  • Collaborate with Technology Operations and Solution Architecture partners in using cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud).

  • Lead and mentor world class multi-functional delivery teams consisting of software engineers, application architects, testers, business analysts, and others.

  • Meet with vendor partners and customers on a recurring basis to review team priorities, execution, and pertinent business/delivery updates.

  • Responsible for technical analysis, effort estimation, product, and system design, evaluating architectural fit and compliance, resource schedules, delivery milestones and overall product quality.

  • Display technical leadership and oversight of implementation and deployment planning, system integration, quality assurance, delivery, operations, and sustainability of technical solutions.

  • Effectively lead financials including budget, cost, invoices, and contracts.

  • Implement and grow a culture passionate about quality and guest-centricity.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum of 8+ years of related experience.

  • 5+ years leading technical professionals.

  • Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle and in delivery practices using agile concepts – design, development, CI/CD, testing and deployment.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with high-scale architectures, patterns, and technologies, specifically Java and Event-Driven Architecture.

  • Experience with Java/J2EE architectures.

  • Experience working with cloud based architected systems and knowledge of cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS, and Azure.

  • Experience with data transformation

  • Experience crafting architecture designs that incorporate resiliency and performance.

  • Success at achieving sophisticated technology goals on-time and on-budget.

  • Experience leading teams supporting enterprise-scale solutions from both business and technical perspectives.

  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills including presenting to executives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Google Cloud Data Transformation Services.
  • Experience with Web-service development and Restful design pattern.
  • Experience with Supply Chain Systems.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience
