About the Role & Team:

The Sr. Analyst, Portfolio and Planning, is a project planning role within Enterprise technology, responsible for supporting the portfolio planning and delivery management of the S/4 HANA platform and services ensuring technology solutions are delivered end-to-end and aligned with business capability and collaboration with support operations.

What You Will Do:

Partner with matrix projects, resources, and 3rd party resources.

The span of the role will encompass portfolio planning, project management, delivery execution, and strategic planning.

Role Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Actively leads and/or contributes to team and project planning and overall strategy, to include resource needs identification and forecasting

  •  Actively leads and/or contributes in establishing and tracking progress to key performance indicators

  •  Actively leads and/or contributes in monitoring and evaluating overall project health and status; analyzes data and produces actionable insights

  • Actively leads and/or contributes in identifying problems and shortfalls and proposing solutions

  • As directed, responsible for inputs into the Risks, Actions, Issues and Decisions (RAID) log pertaining to the S/4H Tech Conversion project; work resolution of items; work with project management team

  • Proactively identifies issues and actively leads and/or contributes options to resolve

  •  Identifies and actively leads and/or contributes in the resolution of issues and conflicts

  • Actively leads and/or contributes in the management of escalations to leadership and to vendors as appropriate to drive results

  • Continually apprises leadership and relevant business stakeholders of status and anything not on track

  • Collaborates closely with partners across the organization including business partners, solution architects, and delivery managers

  • Builds strong relationships with and partners with large and diverse groups of stakeholders at multiple levels, from end users to executives, across the enterprise

Day to day:

  • Working alongside the engineering teams to drive implementation of the technical conversion of SAP ECC to SAP S/4 Hana inclusive of managing the project timelines, milestones and deliverables.

  • Identifying and mitigating risks associated with technology development, evolving business / technology priorities and strategies to validate the categorization, prioritization, and criticality

  • Translating solutions associated with hardware, infrastructure, network, business requirements and testing practices into sequenced activities and milestones

  • Understanding, updating and monitory technology delivery project status via smartsheeets.  Partnering with various technology domains, to include, but not limited to, quality assurance / test, infrastructure, network, development, systems administration/BASIS, security, user experience and design

  • Analyze situations and make logical decisions that ensure the quality of the project to keep it on time, on budget and on scope

  • Develops, maintains, and revises projects deliverables including project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, timelines, funding, and staffing. Sets and tracks project milestones; manages and accounts for unforeseen delays, then realigns schedules and expectations as needed.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of related work experience.

  • Experience supporting large enterprise wide projects.

  • Ability to complete projects and achieve results in an ambiguous work environment.

  • Ability to solve complex problems.

  • Innovative thinking and embraces innovation by constantly seeking new or contrary ideas and approaches to what has been done in the past.

  • Exemplary communications skills as well as presentation skills, both oral and written.

  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to establish and manage effective working relationships in a matrix organizational structure

Required capabilities, knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Prior experience with large, complex Tier 1 Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) technology programs/projects specifically SAP upgrades inclusive of S/4 Hana.

  • Prior experience in a cross-functional / cross-team matrixed program / project environment role; 

  • Business teams:  working with teams from across various segments, lines of business to include, but not limited to, finance, accounting, human resources, payroll.

  • Technology teams:  working alongside various technology domains, to include, but not limited to, quality assurance / test, infrastructure, network, development, systems administration/BASIS, security, user experience and design

  • Prior experience understanding and managing Risks, Actions, Issues, and Decisions (RAID) within a large, complex technology program / project with the knowledge and experience to validate the categorization, prioritization, and criticality. 

  • Prior experience working within the technology lifecycle to understand, design and manage schedules / work plans within a large, complex technology program / project with the knowledge and experience to design, develop, and validate the correct tasks, sequencing, and dependencies. 

Preferred Qualifications:

·       MS Office

·       Smartsheet

·       Strong analytical skills within Excel and PowerPoint Design.

Education:

·       Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience.
