Marketing Manager, Licensed Games

Disney Games and Interactive Experiences is seeking a Marketing Manager for its Licensed Games business focused on Fox IP. This person must be an avid gamer and have work experience in the gaming space. The person will have experience participating in the launch of high-profile IP games and possess a strong understanding of all aspects of a marketing plan and its execution. The successful candidate will help manage and oversee the marketing of new licensed games, as well as providing support for all existing games in the portfolio enabling growth throughout the product life-cycle.

This candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills to be able to partner with teams throughout DPEP/TWDC, agencies, and 3rd party partners to optimize user acquisition. This position will report into the Vice President of Marketing, Licensed Games.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a day-to-day partner to game developers including reviewing, providing feedback, approving and managing go-to-market plans, creative, and activations
  • Be a strong brand steward for Fox brands, provide support, and manage licensees for flawless marketing executions in terms of quality, timing, and strategy
  • Garner internal Games marketing support across Theatrical, Home Entertainment, TV, Consumer Products, Franchise, and Synergy groups
  • Drive social and digital support for games across all titles, working closely with TV and Theatrical digital teams, including the launch and ownership of new social channels
  • Provide support for all internal and external communications and PR for individual games and Games and Interactive Experiences overall
  • Identify proper benchmarks and goals for respective mobile game strategies and tactics
  • Analyze performance of marketing campaigns to regularly identify areas for optimization
  • Leverage quantitative and qualitative insights from research and analysis to influence product strategy and inform positioning, go-to-market plans, creative assets, and campaigns
  • Coordinate with regional teams to implement global strategy
  • Drive live mobile game events at conventions and trade shows
  • Create marketing postmortems, presentation materials, and internal marketing plans

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience working in the field of games (mobile and/or console games) marketing and working with big brands
  • Strong interest in mobile, console and social games
  • Working knowledge of digital & social game marketing and user acquisition campaigns including digital production, social media, mobile ad networks and analytics
  • Passion for gaming culture, news and trends
  • Strong creative and aesthetic judgment
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented project manager who can multi-task
  • Solid management and leadership skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate and “sell” strategies to cross-functional teams
  • Strong problem-solving/troubleshooting skills with a can-do attitude
  • Strong technical aptitude and quick learning ability
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Keynote, with strong presentation skills and an ability to clearly articulate Strategy, Objectives, and Tactics along with rationale
  • Entrepreneurial, strategic, creative thinker who is goal-oriented

Preferred Qualifications

  • Entertainment experience is a plus

  • MBA preferred
