Job Summary:

The role of Business Analyst will provide analysis, insights and business partnering to Sales, Studio Marketing & Finance for the performance of our Home Entertainment category including revenue forecasts, title performance and profitability by key account to enhance key decision making for the category.

Responsibilities:

Home Entertainment
  • Maintain, analyse and continuously improve key sales reports and dashboards for Home Entertainment
  • Analyse and manipulate data from various sources to present valuable market and business insights mapped to the broader business objectives and KPIs
  • Partner with Sales, Studio Marketing and Finance teams to prepare, deliver and monitor regular forecasting and reporting requirements for both key new release titles and back catalogue
  • Critically analyse and investigate variances and other ad hoc queries with the Finance and Sales teams to align understanding Support the Sales team with the development of their major retail partner presentations, providing account performance analysis and market insights and context to support the pitch
  • Support the Sales team in developing the discipline of post-implementation review for New Release and Promotional Campaigns Partner with the Operations team and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) supplier to determine and approve initial shipments and replenishment allocations for all New Release titles
  • Assist Finance to build up annual 5-year strategy plan and budgets
  • Maintain planning and scheduling calendars relating to new release activity
  • Manage the day-to-day vendor relationship with consumer insights agency (currently GfK)
  • Ongoing ad hoc sales analysis, scenario development and reporting as requested

  • Collaborate with other analysts across the business with the intent of delivering cohesive insights and strategy relevant to the retail landscape
  • Ongoing ad hoc scenario development, analysis and reporting as requested Methodology & Process
  • Continually review process and outputs to define ongoing improvements and proactively suggest change in process and workflow in order to improve the efficiency of planning cycles & forecasting processes

Basic Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a similar data/analytical role
  • Experience of managing diverse stakeholder groups and competing demands
  • Knowledge of the retail landscape
  • Experience of scenario testing/modelling to guide decision making
  • Basic financial understanding recommended but not essential
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Good working knowledge of MS Word and PowerPoint
  • Great verbal and written communication skills
  • Recognised for capabilities in developing processes and workflows to achieve outcomes
  • Self-directed
  • Highly analytical
  • Ability to translate data/analytics into insights
  • Evidence of a high attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise

Required Education

  • Tertiary qualified (commerce, finance, statistics or similar)

Additional Information:

  • 12 month Fixed Term Contract – Full Time
