Job Summary:

The Corporate Communications Coordinator works as part of the Corporate Communications team, working in the ANZ market to maintain and build upon the reputation of The Walt Disney Company (TWDC).

This role works with the Corporate Communications Manager and the Corporate Events and Activations Manager to provide internal and external communications support on key aspects of the corporate communications program for ANZ.

-This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract

Responsibilities:

  • Develop material including drafting and creation of internal/external communication collateral, videos, case studies, content for speeches, presentations and other required deliverables
  • Create and publish content for internal channels including the intranet, newsletters, as well as for external channels including the Disney ANZ news site
  • Build productive working relationships internally and externally as required
  • Support issues identification and management in partnership with Corporate Communications Manager
  • Proofread materials for content and grammar
  • Monitor media including tracking and analysing coverage and mentions on a daily basis, developing reports, undertaking searches for specific projects, topics/issues
  • Assist with logistics, maintenance of databases, building lists and planning tools
  • Track and report on audience and engagement metrics
  • Support events planning and organisation in partnership with Corporate Events and Activations Manager including researching venues / stakeholder invitations for Town Halls, media activities, conferences, internal launches, corporate relations
  • Coordinate cross-functional approval processes for material and review
  • Support creative studio with project management and production
  • Intranet ‘MyDisneyToday’ administration – develop materials for sites; manage and upload materials
  • Projects and internal stakeholder management including assisting in the smooth running of projects through co-ordination of meetings, materials, drafting, and preparation of timelines and plans
  • Assist communication requirements around CSR, community and other corporate brand development activities, including the corporate volunteering program
  • Perform tasks and projects for the Director, Corporate Communications as required
  • Adhere to all controls, policies, procedures and guidelines

Basic Qualifications:

  • Relevant work experience in PR agency or corporate environment (ideally media/entertainment)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and writing and research skills, with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated creative thinking and execution
  • Experience with content management systems and manging publishing workflows\\ Excellent interpersonal, collaboration and organisational skills
  • Self-starter and results-oriented with sense of urgency
  • Computer/technical skills including PowerPoint, Photoshop, video-editing experience, etc
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work across different projects at the same time

Required Education

  • Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations or equivalent media
