Job Summary:

This role will provide commercial analysis and financial planning support for the Transactional In-Home businesses Provide business insights and reporting to the Sales, Marketing & Finance teams on the Transaction In-Home performance, including revenue forecasts, title performance and key account metrics to enhance decision making.

​-This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract

Responsibilities:

Digital Sales Analysis
  • Maintain by title forecasts and performance of all digital titles released
  • Maintain digital activity document alongside account managers, including pre and post analysis of TPRs (temporary price reductions)
  • Contribute to sales meetings, as required for forecasts of all 52-week new release titles, with sales and marketing
  • Complete the digital performance in a combined and physical/digital document by title for a complete analysis of performance including connect rates and a database for comparative titles
  • Weekly revenue/margin analysis of major digital clients for sales team
  • Maintenance of a digital dashboard including sales analysis on Seasonality / Genre / Marketing performance / Title connect rates etc.
  • Driving digital sales through identifying the ideal promotional periods and pricing analysis
  • Support business account managers with preparation of sales performance presentations for account meetings
Retail Sales Analysis
  • Maintain, analyse and continuously improve key sales reports and dashboards for Home Entertainment
  • Analyse and manipulate data from various sources to present valuable market and business insights mapped to the broader business objectives and KPIs
  • Partner with Sales, Studio Marketing and Finance teams to prepare, deliver and monitor regular forecasting and reporting requirements for both key new release titles and back catalogue
  • Assist with the development retail partner presentations, providing account performance analysis and market insights and context to support the pitch
  • Assist the Operations team and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) supplier to determine and approve initial shipments and replenishment allocations for all New Release titles
  • Manage the day-to-day vendor relationship with consumer insights agency (currently GfK)
  • Ongoing ad hoc sales analysis, scenario development and reporting as requested
Financial Planning and Analysis
  • Assist with preparation of digital Budgets, Quarterly Forecast and 5 Year Plan including presentations, submission and schedules
  • Trend analysis including regression and connect rate analysis to identify relationships between transactional revenue and Box Office takings
  • Assist with 52 week title budgets and forecasts
  • Work with marketing and sales to track and optimise marketing expenditure
  • Complete templates as required for US and Regional teams
  • Industry body reporting submissions including market share analysis reporting
  • Industry analysis including market share and performance of different digital segments
Ad Hoc
  • Cross business support as required
  • Backfill other roles within the Finance team as necessary

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience in a similar data/analytical/finance role
  • CA/CPA or equivalent (qualified or studying towards) is preferred
  • Experience in Media and/or Retail industry preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced MS Excel skills, and solid knowledge of MS Word and PowerPoint
  • Financial Modelling and Analysis

Required Education

  • Preferably tertiary qualified (commerce, finance, statistics or similar)
