This position will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of key projects across the Business Development area. The Partnerships Manager: Marketing and Projects will ensure all assigned projects are executed within TWDC AUNZ’s programme of works, to time, scope, quality standards and budget, ensuring that actual progress meets planned progress and business goals.

Marvel Stadium is an ongoing key Strategic initiative for TWDC ANZ and the Partnerships Manager: Marketing and Projects will be essential in delivering a range of key Marvel branded projects and experiences as well as managing day to day operations of the partnership with the AFL and Disney’s involvement in the Stadium’s redevelopment plans. As well as Marvel Stadium, this role will work across other key projects in the Business Development area such as the Disney+ (and other business) partnership’s funnel. This role will be responsible for end-to-end project management, implementing and maintain Project Management processes and working closely with the Business Development and extended Disney teams to deliver projects to the highest standard.

The role will have a focus on Marvel Stadium but will also work across other key projects and partnership initiatives in the Business Development area, ensuring effective management of cross business teams to deliver required outcomes.

Areas of Responsibility:

Project Management

  • Responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of projects within the scope of work assigned by the Senior Manager, Strategic Projects to time, quality standard and budget
  • Defining project objectives, project scope, roles & responsibilities.
  • Defining resource requirements and managing resource availability & allocation – both internal and third party.
  • Adhere to budgets set and track costs to deliver project on budget.
  • Preparing a detailed project plan to schedule key project milestones, workstreams & activities.
  • Tracking project using appropriate Project Management tools and providing regular reports on project status to working groups and key stakeholders.
  • Managing and adjusting for any changes in project scope, schedule and / or budget.
  • Identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  • Managing the relationship and communication with all stakeholders, ensuring the project is delivered to their satisfaction.
  • Working effectively across and harnessing cross-functional local teams including Strategy, Partnerships & Digital, CPCG, Studio Marketing, Performance Marketing, Lifecycle & Brand Marketing, Insights, Analytics, PR, Legal, Creative & Communications
  • Working effectively across international markets as required
  • Ensuring all TWDC approval processes i.e. Legal and Brand are adhered to and championed in every project

Stakeholder Management

  • Align and guide internal cross-functional teams / working groups to best serve the desired outcome of a Project
  • Represent TWDC AUNZ with external stakeholders as required
  • Be a point of contact for the AFL, its tenants and affiliates
  • Manage Third-parties, contractors, agencies and consultants pursuant to what is required by the Project including but not limited to negotiation, contract development, service agreements, approvals, development of SOW’s, and briefings as required
  • Regularly updating and reporting to Senior Manager, Strategic Projects, Head of Business Development and other stakeholders as required
  • Maintain confidentiality, discretion and implementing NDA’s as required

Project Development

  • Work with the Senior Manager, Strategic Projects & Head of Business Development in the ideation and development of potential projects, partnerships and opportunities across TWDC AUNZ

Project Oversight

  • Work with the Senior Manager, Strategic Projects & Head of Business Development in the continued review and delivery of the areas business processes and project deliverables.

Experience:

  • Extensive experience in a similar, brand-led, activation and experience-based project management role
  • Experience in a high paced, multi-faceted global business with strong stakeholder and XLOB management experience
  • Proven experience in developing processes for project prioritisation and effectively communicating with other managers and/or team members about deliverables
  • Proven experience managing a range of contractors, suppliers and third parties
  • Experience in Stadium, Theme Park and/or Entertainment Venue Operations is highly advantageous
  • Experience in Brand Management / brand activations / experiences and/or delivering projects for a major brand is advantageous
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Diplomatic mind-set and proven ability to work well in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • Proactive mind-set that allows for self-sufficiency when it comes to finding solutions or learning new skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new technology and constantly evolving organizations, and to thrive in an extremely fast-paced and high-pressure working environment.
