Job Summary:

We are seeking a Retail Marketing Coordinator on a 9 month fixed term contract to join our Disney Consumer Products Marketing team. You will be responsible for providing support to the team in the development of retail promotions that drive foot traffic, sales and brand awareness. This will include managing the execution of retail in-store activations and administrative support to the team.


Customer Experience Trade Marketing
  • Support the retail marketing team to develop engaging retail customer experiences
  • Support the retail marketing team on creative, print production, distribution and field services by managing execution through 3rd party suppliers
  • Support the Snr Manger in over-seeing the CE function to ensure we are achieving creative excellence, best print quotes, and reaching stores in a timely cost-effective manner
  • Assist in driving the implementation of permanent and semi-permanent installations at retail
  • Assist in the management of 3rd parties including, creative, print, distribution and field team operations
  • Assist in the management of retail marketing budgets, including sourcing quotes across 3rd parties
  • Sharing best practices and competitive analysis of retail activations
  • Be a “Brand Ambassador” and ensure our brands are always represented according to Brand Style Guides

Retail Marketing Operations
  • Support the Retail Marketing Director as required
  • Manage the Content Planning Calendar across the team
  • Co-ordinate the preparation of retail marketing presentations to relevant stakeholders including retailers and internal Disney contacts
  • Tracking & Processing SAP invoices for the Retail Marketing team
  • Be the internal communication point person across the team, by managing the sharing of information and ensuring information can be located readily
  • Administrative tasks across the team, such as taking meeting minutes

Seasonal | Cross Franchise
  • Contribute to the development of seasonal and cross franchise retail promotions alongside the Snr Manager – Customer Experience & Operations

Basic Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of Retail Marketing experience and industry knowledge and/or agency experience desirable
  • Retail background as well as supplier experience a definite advantage
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to successfully handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong work ethic and business acumen
  • Effective written, verbal and presentation communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proactive, can do attitude and willingness to take on projects
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills, particularly with PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of Retail Marketing/Licensing and/or Entertainment Industry a bonus

Required Education

  • Tertiary / Diploma qualification in Business Administration or Marketing advantageous
