Sales Executive- Studio Distribution

Job Summary:

Lead and support the development Non-Theatrical, Alternate and Fox Searchlight content releases across ANZ. Manage, in conjunction with the Studio Distribution team, the sales opportunities, planning process and sell in. Manage and grow Non-Theatrical business opportunities, creating campaigns and initiatives to leverage the full breadth of content across all brands.


Sales Responsibilities:
  • Lead development of bespoke theatrical projects – including management of full P&L and content development for activations. For example, Disney festivals, bespoke Star Wars campaigns and premiere seasons
  • Manage all key exhibition partners across the “Arthouse” locations and negotiate policies for upcoming releases & gaining confirmed film bookings with exhibitors. Keep all exhibitors updated about upcoming Disney releases
  • Ensuring bookings are made in an expedient manner and charts are closed early
  • Negotiate ongoing sessions to maximize rental returns and monitor exhibitor’s compliance of title release policy
  • Support Head of Distribution & Operations to develop release strategies and launch plan for all Fox Searchlight titles
  • Manage Non-theatrical Back Catalogue re-releases – working with franchise and Retail marketing teams to create initiatives and programmes to deliver incremental revenue and activations
  • Maintain and develop relationships with APAC and Domestic cinema partnerships colleagues
  • Lead Theatrical relationship with ICAA and develop and manage calendar of activity
  • Assist Disney Sales team and Head of Studio Distribution & Operations with administration, analysis, reporting and strategy where needed
Team & Stakeholder Manager
  • Direct line management of Sales Co-ordinator
  • Deliver annual performance quality conversations and regular reviews across direct reports
  • Liaise with Studio Marketing Director to align with release strategy on titles is consistent with the marketing goals
  • Support Head of Studio Distribution to develop and deliver Sales AOP & Budget for the Studio business
  • Working closely with Finance & Theatrical Marketing teams to create and approve all title budget forecasts and title P&L’s
  • Support Senior Sales Manager with management of film performance trackers and reporting

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years Sales, Marketing or Trade Marketing experience, preferably in a theatrical or retail environment
  • Experience in developing sales strategies by channel or exhibitor/retailer
  • Demonstrated experience in marketing communications and relationship based or consultative selling
  • Demonstrated cross-functional team leadership and influencing abilities
