Job Summary:

The Disney Streaming Viewer Experience (VX, or Customer Support) organization is seeking a Digital Content Strategist who will be an integral addition to our Self-Service Content & Engagement team.

As a Digital Content Strategist, you will be responsible for the discoverability of our help center content across Hulu, Disney+, ESPN+ and Star+ help centers.
You’ll analyze and drive SEO content efforts, developing strategies to improve our search engine results rankings so that more viewers can find the content they need to self-serve. You’ll also oversee our audience targeting strategy on our help centers, determining where and when we should market specific content, and to whom.
On the day-to-day, you’ll collaborate with a strong group of writers, product managers, analysts, and other content strategists to assess SEO implementation opportunities, manage a calendar of targeted content, and ensure we’re reaching the intended audiences with the right reporting in place to be agile and successful.

The ideal candidate for this role has expert knowledge of SEO best practices with a background in digital content strategy, is skilled at working both tactically and strategically, and has deep empathy for anyone who just wants to unwind with some trouble-free TV time. This is a versatile, fast-paced position, so flexibility, empathy and strong collaboration skills are a must.


  • Oversee our help center SEO strategy; regularly identify opportunities to optimize content for improved discoverability
  • Standardize and maintain guidelines for SEO-friendly article content, including governance around titles, meta, and promoted search terms
  • Identify and execute on off-channel marketing/targeting opportunities for the help center (in-app placements, transactional emails, etc.)
  • Oversee our on-channel targeting strategy, ensuring we’re featuring the right content at the right time to relevant audiences
  • Manage a calendar of featured content across self-service in correlation with launches and top contact drivers; create short-form content where applicable to promote help articles
  • Define KPIs and work with the analytics team to ensure reporting is built and maintained
  • Regularly synthesize and share content insights in order to advocate for the best user experience using data, industry best practices, and experimentation

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of combined experience in a digital content or communications role, 2+ years in content strategy or content marketing with an emphasis on SEO
  • Strong SEO proficiency and experience working with Google Analytics and Search Console
  • A data-driven mindset with experience leveraging quantitative and qualitative data to analyze content
  • Strong technical acumen with experience working efficiently across multiple tools and/or content management systems
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with experience writing in different styles and tones on behalf of a brand
  • Ability to independently lead projects and set objectives in a cross-functional environment
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills with the ability to adjust communication style by audience
  • Strong organizational and project management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with audience targeting
  • Experience with global content management and localization
  • Experience writing customer support content

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited 4-year college or university

This role is considered hybrid, which means the employee will work a portion of their time on-site from a Company designated location and the remainder of their time remotely.
