- This role is considered hybrid, which means the employee will work a portion of their time on-site from a Company designated location and the remainder of their time remotely.

Job Summary:

The Path Forward Return to Work program at Disney Streaming is a 16-week paid returnship (internship) for experienced professionals returning to the workforce after taking time off for caregiving. The program is open to individuals who have at least 5 years of professional experience and have been out of the paid workforce for at least two years to focus on caring for a child or other dependent. If you meet these criteria, we welcome you to apply.

The Disney Streaming Web client engineering organization delivers app experiences across Hulu, Disney+, ESPN+, and Star+ built on a common platform and shared technology. The Web team is a fast-paced and fast-growing team that shares knowledge and code for initiatives that span Web such as commerce, marketing, media, and infrastructure!

We are seeking individuals with a passion for learning and developing the future of streaming services on the web.  As a member of DisneyStreaming’s Marketing team you'll play an instrumental role in delivering an industry-leading experience that provides a clear understanding of our products and content to our global users.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Partners with team members, product and engineering partners to deliver new features and fix project issues while developing specifications for assigned components, projects, or fixes. 

  • Writes, performs tests, and debugs code ensuring standards for readability and maintainability. 

  • Contributes to core software project needs and the evolution of the team's practices; recommending changes in development, coding, maintenance and system standards. 

  • Efficiently supports software throughout the lifecycle. Performs technical maintenance and solving for components while maintaining clear documentation.

  • Participates in the code review to gain validated understanding of the fundamental knowledge of software systems.

What To Bring: 

  • Basic foundational programming knowledge of web based applications. 

  • Experience working within a modern Javascript workflow.

  • Ability to write code that is easy to read and understand that follows standard methodologies.
