Disney Advertising Sales is seeking an experienced, versatile professional to report into the Director, Entertainment Brand Solutions.
Manager will be responsible for developing strategic multiplatform brand solutions tied to Scripted programming both proactively and in response to RFP requests as well as supporting project management for deals sold, in order to drive revenue for Disney Advertising Sales (DAS). This position will focus on all Scripted programming spanning across the entire portfolio, ranging from ABC, Hulu, FX, Disney+, Freeform and National Geographic.
Responsibilities
Manage the development of multiplatform brand solutions tied to Scripted programming (streaming, linear, digital, social, custom integrated content etc.). Scripted solutions range from in-show integrations and placements, to custom content solutions that marry advertiser with show IP in a meaningful way distributed across the Disney media ecosystem.
Primary responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
Manage a range of responsibilities the come with being assigned coverage of various scripted shows and be the go to expert on specific shows for our department, responsible for identifying and communicating relevant show information and updates to internal teams and sales
Generate ideas and create pitch materials (RFPs and proactive)
Responsible for idea generation
Responsible for creating all client-facing pitch materials that detail (customized and market-wide) sponsorship opportunities
Develop proactive solutions that align with editorial and marketing efforts
Guide and build consensus among key stakeholders to obtain approval on the ideas (Management, Legal, BS&P, PR, Business Affairs, studios, producers, etc.)
Work with RYM (Revenue Yield Management) to ensure proactive packages are properly priced for the marketplace
Field incoming RFPs, developing smart, strategic solutions in collaboration with Disney CreativeWorks (our in-house creative agency
Present and pitch ideas in client meetings
Collaborate with other groups to help recommend pricing
Facilitate deal negotiation
Contributing to development of sponsorship strategy. Work closely with Revenue and Yield Management to identify priorities and package opportunities that drive revenue, ready to pivot as marketplace needs change
Manage activation process for deals that sell-through: timelines, approvals, production shoots, post-production, etc.)
Kick-off calls
Creative approval process
Any/all creative preparation
Manage on-set shoots – script delivery, client hosting, problem solving, balance show and client creative needs etc.
Responsible for ensuring project elements are delivering across all platforms
Oversee all post production to ensure content launches properly
All project related documentation: deal agreement letters, budget management, billing, research etc.
Oversee creation of deal recaps and research
Manage all Scripted Programming related documentation and processes: budget management, department status reports, case studies, research, competitive analysis, etc.
Build and maintain strong relationships with all internal stakeholders at a senior level (e.g., Marketing, Legal, S&P, Programming, PR, Sales, etc.)
Required Qualifications
5+ years of television and/or streaming, digital marketing, sponsorship, promotion, branded entertainment and/or media at a network, cable, promotional/media agency or entertainment studio
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to translate verbal ideas into written presentations
Expertise in project management/execution, attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills
Proven experience with sponsored social activations (across Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram)
Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Keynote, Google Docs/Sheets
Experience with deck creation through PowerPoint and Keynote
Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, mornings, weekends and/or occasional travel
