Job Summary:

Disney Streaming is seeking a Manager who will be an exceptional addition to the DTC Shared Service Platforms, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. You will report to the VP, FP&A and will play an integral role in supporting the Shared Service Platforms (which include Technology, Product, Data and Customer Service organizations), providing business and finance leaders important financial insights. The Shared Services Platforms organizations support Disney’s global streaming businesses (D+, Hulu, ESPN+, Star+). The right person for this role possesses strong analytical and communication skills, ability to work cross-functionally, can think strategically, and sets a high bar for themselves. Responsibilities:

  • Consolidate P&L reporting across the Disney Streaming’s Shared Service Platforms (e.g. quarterly actuals, forecasts, budgets and long-range plans)
  • Create and report out KPI/ performance dashboards for the shared service platforms organizations to create transparency and proactively manage business risks and opportunities
  • Play a key role in the orchestration of the strategic planning process. Collaborate with business partners, finance, and corporate strategy/operations teams on AOP and long-range planning to ensure financial planning are aligned with global business priorities
  • Cross collaboration with business partners, controllership, finance to analyze spend (e.g. cloud and other material SaaS spend) and help identify savings opportunities in the areas of streaming tech, product, data and customer service budgets
  • Develop cost optimization tooling/models and monitor success of implemented improvements using data and key performance indicators to assess performance
  • Prepare executive decks and present findings to senior leadership and business partners
  • Ad hoc projects as needed (e.g. NPV analyses, develop process and system improvements, analyze and execute cost allocation methodologies, etc.)

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of professional work experience, preferable in the media & technology industry
  • Experience creating ROI, TCO, and cost and utilization optimization strategies
  • Demonstrated proficiency in quantitative analysis and financial modeling
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and collaborate tools such as Google Sheets and Slides
  • Ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple priorities and perform job responsibilities accurately while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to compose concise written descriptions of complex issues, supported by detailed analysis

Required Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent
