Hulu’s Content team is seeking a Senior Content Partnerships Manager, focusing on Sports,  who will be an exceptional addition to our Content team. As a Senior Manager at Hulu, you will manage existing content relationships and negotiate carriage/acquisition agreements with content/network providers and/or premium and add-on partners, work with Hulu stakeholders to understand needs of the Hulu DMVPD in agreements with content providers, align with the Hulu Content team to maximize synergy across Hulu’s SVOD and MVPD content businesses and prepare research/analysis to assess opportunities. The right person for this role is able to work with both traditional and emerging networks/content providers as well as Disney/ESPN to build consensus around mutually beneficial opportunities. If you are someone who has deep knowledge in both the high level and the nuances of the network licensing business, is multifunctional and possesses great relationship management, problem solving, business development and persuasion/influence skills, then this is a great role for you. 


  • Manage partnerships with ESPN and existing sports providers, and establish new partnerships, to acquire content that enhances the SVOD and DMVPD product offerings 

  • Set the Sports-on-SVOD strategy and manage the implementation by leading cross-functional teams toward clear, coherent projects, including timelines and deliverables 

  • Oversee live sports acquisition and planning in SVOD, including e-sports, linear networks (if applicable) and related gaming/gambling programming 

  • Support business teams that manage relationships with Hulu’s MVPD network providers, Hulu’s owners, and Premium/Add On partners 

  • Lead negotiation efforts on carriage/licensing agreements with content providers 

  • Collaborate closely with Hulu stakeholders to ensure that Hulu’s carriage and licensing agreements reflect the needs of our business 

  • Communicate broadly the results and requirements included in Hulu’s network and content relationships 

  • Generate ideas and drive execution of new content and feature offerings that drive revenue and profitability 

  • Collaborate and build strong teamwork and communication with internal stakeholders including Product, Dev, Program, Legal, Finance, Marketing and others 

  • Work closely with SVOD and Studio Partner Managers to optimize content relationships and develop cross-platform opportunities 

  • Conduct frequent and ongoing viewership and market analysis to inform Hulu strategy and business in moving forward 

  • Lead creation of analytical content reports and materials for internal and external meetings (e.g. Google slide presentations and economic deal models) 


  • Bachelor’s Degree, MBA a plus (but not required) 

  • 5+ years of network licensing and acquisition and/or relevant business development experience in the TV business 

  • Strong synthesis skills that enable you to distill complex issues down to understandable and actionable options 

  • Capable of driving internal stakeholders to consensus on challenging issues 

  • Good technical and digital platform knowledge including OTT and mobile devices 

  • Strong partner engagement skills with the ability to develop relationships, and maximize existing partner channels 

  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to address business, marketing and technical audiences. 

  • Detailed knowledge of the entertainment and TV businesses more generally 

  • Willingness to travel (>20%)
