The D.A.T.A. Team is looking for a Senior Manager, Technical Program Management to provide leadership to professional staff to drive large, complex and strategically important technical software delivery programs in a fast-paced environment.  This role requires expert knowledge and experience with the software development life cycle, in-depth technical understanding, attention to detail, and experience managing the activities of multiple teams.  If you are a stand out leader who thrives in a collaborative environment, jumps at the opportunity to work on impactful and complex problems, and constantly seeks out new challenges, then this is a great role for you.

What You'll Do

  • Provides leadership to professional staff across multiple teams in complex, technical, fast paced organization for high-profile or strategically important technical software deliveries or programs

  • Manages budget and resourcing responsibilities and communicates needs and results to executives and other managers

  • Influences cross dependent priorities to align with program level technical goals. 

  • Lead not only at the strategic level, but also day-to-day by diving deeply into business and technical domains

  • Understands architecture between systems across multiple domains. Able to speak to the overall workflow between these systems.

  • Uses in-depth understanding of business practices of unit to make input into specific aspects of the operating plans of the function or unit at the next highest organization level, then, based on prevailing conditions, manages the daily operations of assigned section(s) of work

  • Develop strong partnerships and works with peer levels of management to resolve resource conflicts

  • Communicate effectively and independently across the organization at the executive level and outside the organization

  • Interacts with direct reports and peers in management / customers / vendors to share information and improve cross-departmental processes

  • Accountable for driving execution and delivery of extraordinarily high-profile technical, product or software development projects from start to finish in a fast-paced and complex environment. Programs assigned to this level tend to be of the highest complexity and strategic priority.

What To Bring

  • Typically 3+ years in management role 

  • Typically 10+ years of experience in program management, preferably with a focus on data architecture, business intelligence, relational databases or big-data technology

  • Strong leader, comfortable engaging with people at all levels; successfully manages via influence

  • Master knowledge and experience with the software development life cycle; experience in streaming media software preferred

  • Experience developing and managing engineering or product portfolio planning and tracking processes and cadences

  • Exceptional communication skills - able to successfully adapt your style and leverage strong listening skills to inform your approach

  • Strong leader, comfortable engaging with people at all levels; successfully manages via influence

  • Highly collaborative, and partner-oriented professionally, working effectively with multiple cross-functional teams.

  • Master with software delivery management tools, including: Confluence, JIRA, AirTable, LucidCharts, Git Hub/Lab, and AirTable, LucidCharts, Git Hub/Lab

  • Experience with contract management and delivery lifecycle for third party software and professional services

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, computer science, or another related field.
