Job Summary

Finance team is responsible for company-wide operating and capital planning, quarterly and annual earnings and cash flow forecasting, annual operating plans and five-year plans, review of all major capital projects, the analysis and reporting of segment/business unit operating performance, direct finance support for line of business and various special projects. The group is also charged with developing presentations for the management regarding the company’s financial performance and business trends.

The Senior Finance Specialist will report to the Finance Manager, responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Disney+ streaming production finance in Korea, providing financial oversight throughout the life cycle of production, from Development through Post Production. The ideal candidate will play an integral role in providing context for and insight into how production projects are budgeted, scheduled, managed, and produced. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with production team to create and manage production budgets and schedules that deliver projects on time and on budget.

  • Manage the generic budget EFC’s and cash flows.

  • Manage the preparation of EFC reports, cash flow forecasts and production status reports.

  • Review the cost report per project and communication with production team.

  • Engage in ad hoc financial analysis for management as required.

  • Support financial closing activities.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or other related fields.

  • Minimum 5 years of prior work experience, preferably with a media/entertainment company, or other applicable environment/role.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to evaluate significant levels and sources of detailed information and communicate a concise summary.

  • Strong computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel), with knowledge of financial systems (e.g., SAP) and software with the ability to quickly learn and apply new skills and techniques.

  • Excellent communication skills both in Korean and English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in multinational corporate environments.

  • Enthusiasm for the Media and Entertainment industries.

  • Knowledge of Disney products, service lines as well as an understanding of Disney brand drivers and attributes.
