Job Summary:

The Finance Analyst/Senior Finance Analyst is accountable for assisting improvements in financial processes, controls, systems and reporting necessary to support the financial planning, operations, analysis and business insights for the Disney English business in China.

Responsibilities:

Financial Operations
  • Assist in the preparation of the monthly rolling forecast, annual budget and five-year strategic planning
  • Build and manage forecast models, analytics tools, and templates for Disney English business.
  • Manage and deliver financial forecast submissions through to multiple enterprise planning systems
  • Manage quarterly accruals process and help deliver forecast/close variance explanations and submission templates
  • Help with the preparation of management presentations as and when required, i.e. budgets, forecasts, business updates
Financial Systems & Controls
  • Drive and manage planning/reporting system improvements, partnering with IT to upgrade and enhance existing tools as well as create and deploy new productivity solutions
  • Manage all financial data hierarchies and attributions ensuring systems are aligned and reporting is accurate
  • Create new KPI tools, resources and processes to drive business process efficiencies, consistency and accuracy
Financial Reporting and Business Insights
  • Prepare all monthly and quarterly reports & schedules required for submission to Regional and Global Finance
  • Closely monitor quarter-end and year-end closing deliverables, ensuring timely preparation and accurate submission of templates
  • Ensure reporting is timely, accurate and suitably tailored to the audience/stakeholders
  • Manage and drive improvements in all on-going financial and management reporting
  • Work with Finance Managers, Director and business teams to develop appropriate models for assessing business opportunities and risks and establish performance measures for Disney English centers and different functional departments
  • Analyze performance (tracking revenue, expenses & KPIs regularly) and provide variance explanations and recommendations for operations
  • Perform ad hoc duties and financial analysis to support management team

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent qualification
  • 2~3 years’ working experience
  • CPA or big four working experience is a plus
  • Experience working with Salesforce, SAP/BW and/or Cognos Reporting is a plus
  • Financial modelling, analysis and reporting experience
  • Process improvement implementation
  • Problem solving and analytical skills
  • Template creation and consolidation
  • Application of financial and accounting principles
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint
