Job Summary:

A Demi Chef de Partie in a Western / Chinese / Asian / Pastry and Bakery kitchen is one who cooks a specified range of products and meals, including cold food and breakfast items, according to the requirements of the menu, recipe and Chef. He / she will also take over the Chef de Partie function in their absence and lead the section under their responsibility.

Responsibilities:

  • Stores raw, dry, canned and cooked food.
  • Prepares raw food and ingredients for cooking.
  • Prepares basic stocks, gravies, sauces, starches.
  • Cooks soups, vegetable, meat, poultry, fish mollusk and seafood items.
  • Serves guests at buffet table.
  • Performs basic housekeeping / Able to handle accidents and emergencies.
  • Performs butchery preparation.
  • Completed other F&B tasks assigned by line manager to support LOB’s operations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school or relevant education
  • 3-4 years’ of experiences in culinary
  • Fluent Chinese and basic English
  • Should know and follow the basic hygiene & sanitations regulation
  • Has to be able to communicate well, written and orally with cast members
  • Should have a good food knowledge
  • Has to complete a kitchen safety course
  • Has to be motivated.
  • Has to lead a small team of cooks in the absence of the Chef de Partie and to get along with fellow cast members
  • You shall obtain certificate/qualification(s) required for performing the job, and complete and pass all post-employment trainings and assessments (including but not limited to On-Job-Training)
  • Fully available for shifts, seven (7) days per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Work Location:

You will be working at Shanghai Disney Resort in Pudong, Shanghai. You can take metro Line 11 to Shanghai Disney Resort station or take one of our many shuttle buses. The shuttle buses can be taken from one of several central areas across the city every day. You can find out more information during your onboarding process.
