Job Summary:

The Manager, Marketing will lead the development of Shanghai market initiatives to grow the business. This includes the development of marketing strategies and plans based on consumer segmentation and business needs, in order to strengthen consumer affinity and achieve planned visitation and revenue goals for the Shanghai market. You will also lead the implementation of Shanghai market key initiatives, including consumer segmentation work, to maximize communication efforts in multiple touch points. You will exhibit strong strategic thinking, business writing and project management skills. You must have strong analytical capability and business savvy to deliver results. In addition, this position will serve as a stakeholder as-needed on other Shanghai Disney Resort project teams. This position will report to Director, Marketing and will be based in Shanghai.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead holistic planning and development of marketing strategies and plans for the Shanghai market, including long term plans, annual plans, and oversee the media strategy and plan for the market.
  • Lead development and deployment of marketing activations for the Shanghai market, partnering with cross functional teams.
  • Lead consumer segmentation development to sharpen the go-to-market plan.
  • Analyze and interpret data in order to help guide complex business decisions and form viable recommendations.
  • Provide leadership to cross functional teams and partners to ensure consistent strategic direction and quality delivery of plans. Explore new opportunities to drive business and brand growth.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8 years and above of directly related experience
  • 4-year college degree
  • Strong strategic thinking, solid business acumen, having an advanced ability to sort and interpret multiple data sources in order to discern key business trends, challenges and opportunities. Strong business writing and Power Point skills. Advanced verbal and written communication skills. Highly proficient at leading and influencing peer level partners. Financial literacy, fluency in marketing strategy and communications.
  • Strong project management skills, requiring significant collaboration across the organization such as Revenue Management Analysis, Finance, Sales, Digital Business, Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Merchandise, Hotel and Marketing partners across all disciplines. Extensive communication and influence skills across lines of business, segment (as needed), and agencies.
  • Brand Management experience, must have led both business plan and marketing plan development. Experience in developing and managing holistic marketing campaigns.
