- This role is considered hybrid, which means the employee will work a portion of their time on-site from a Company designated location and the remainder of their time remotely.

In view of APAC’s Publishing growth, we are now looking for an Assistant Manager, Digital Product Operations to join our team in APAC. The Publishing business unit is divided in three parts – Print, Digital Experiences and Learning. The digital business is on a double-digit growth path and Product Operations is a critical business function. 

Job Responsibilities:

As our Champion and Guardian of Disney Brands, you need to:

  • Partner with local commercialization and product operations teams to identify digital product opportunities by:

    • Drawing up pre-approved digital content lists from the system and ensure availability, storage of digital access

    • Assist in creating a digital product roadmap or content plan utilizing available assets in the system

    • Assist in driving new digital products/assets across existing or new titles, formats

  • Manage product schedules and day-to-day operations for vertically created digital products

  • Coordinate with local operations managers to ensure all product approvals and content development is in line with project timelines.

  • Manage online product approvals for all digital products (Vertical and Licensed) across APAC:

    • Needs to have an understanding of Disney brands and consumer needs to be able to assign the approvals to right stakeholders in APAC or Global team

  • Vendor Management:

    • Work with sourcing team to find the new vendors to create new digital products

    • Custodian of vendor relationship, pricing and timely delivery of products

    • Work with vendor and local teams to store, file and transfer the data from and to the clusters.

  • Franchise Approvals:

    • Support Creative team to roll Franchise approvals to the right person for new content created

    • Work with CBM on Go-to-Market approvals as required by local operations managers

  • Ability to work with diverse teams across different countries

  • Broad understanding of finance systems and processes

    •  To evaluate asset usage and establish content fees, if at all

    • To evaluate content creation costs and fees

  • Stakeholder management:

    • Should work well in a matrixed organization - Internal team management and collaborative approach

    • Written, oral and presentation skills are critical to efficiently liaison with Global Operations team and editors


  • Relevant degree with 5 to 7 years’ experience in Digital Product Development and Project Management

  • Experience in publishing industry would be an advantage

  • Proven track record in digital product management and relationship building

  • Excellent presentation and influencing skills

  • High level of proficiency in PowerPoint

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are mandatory for this position

  • Must be able to communicate with different nationality and culture.

  • Well-developed negotiation skills

  • Can thrive within a large corporate environment, understand the dynamics and challenges of matrix organization

  • Organization savvy – to collaborate with all levels internally and externally

  • Highly independent and self-directed, as well as good team player

  • Strong analytical mind with understanding of business and financial concepts
