Job Summary:

Reporting to the DSS Finance Manager, this role will support budgeting, forecasting and reporting on financial, subscriber and other key operational information for SEA activities to local management, regional and Global teams as required. The role also includes working with local Controllership to manage the integrity of the GL, ensuring the appropriate financial controls and accounting policies are applied within the business unit.

Responsibilities:

Core Finance
  • Working with stake holders in understanding cost drivers and assumptions
  • Setting up processes for tracking of spends vs budgets
  • Work with local controllership to ensure appropriate financial controls and accounting policies of TWDC are applied/adhered to.
  • Working with Accounting, the ASC and Controllership SAS to ensure accuracy of financial information including provisions for statutory and management accounts
  • Support in the development of budgets, financial plans, and subscriber modelling for cyclical forecasts, AOP and 5YP purposes
  • Prepare and publish financial/management reports including key business KPIs (Subscriber reporting, cost of acquisition, etc.) to assess health of business.
Quarter Close and Reporting
  • Coordinate with the functions to ensure timely booking of expenses and submissions of accruals within the deadlines
  • Work with Accounting, ASC and Controllership to ensure accurate and timely quarter end reporting
  • Coordinate with the reporting and business teams in the US to understand reporting requirement and ensure timely deliverables
  • Prepare and publish financial/management reports including key business KPIs (Subscriber reporting, cost of acquisition, etc.) to assess health of business.

Basic Qualifications:

Education/Qualifications:
Graduate from accredited university and qualified accountant (Chartered Accountant / CIMA / CPA or equivalent)
  • 2 to 5 years’ experience in Finance and Accounting
  • Previous experience with an MNC
  • Fluency in English and local language
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of Streaming and Media Distribution viewed favourably
Technical Skills
  • Strong technical skills – accounting, financial planning and presentation skills
  • Advanced Excel and Powerpoint skills
  • Good interpersonal skills – ability to converse with teams across functions
  • Solid working knowledge of SAP and Cognos
  • Sound knowledge of US GAAP
