Job Summary:

The DMED International Operations Sensitive Information Protection (SIP) group serves as a center of excellence for segment specific requirements relating to the proactive protection of the company’s most sensitive information assets. The group embeds resources within segments that create highly valuable information, and coordinates with segment staff to design, implement, manage, and optimize programs specific to these segment requirements and business objectives.

The Manager, Sensitive Information Protection, based in Singapore, reports into the Director, Sensitive Information Protection, based in Los Angeles, USA and is responsible for managing, leading, establishing, planning, and driving Sensitive Information Protection projects and operational activities specific to the region.

Responsibilities:

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the development of program strategies and, through open communication and collaboration with business unit contacts, the existing DMED SIP team and the rest of the Media & Licensing SIP teams, maintaining best in class services to our stakeholders
  • Manage and execute the assessment of workflows that support Disney’s Sensitive Information, both internally and externally (where applicable)
  • Manage the Content Security of regional productions for TV Broadcast and Direct to Consumer platforms (E.g., Disney+, Star+) and related third party assessment, in line with the global SIP Content Security strategy
  • Manage monthly engagement with Regional DMED executives and stakeholders
  • Manages the documentation and staff training for third-party partners prior to accessing any sensitive Disney assets.
  • Manage the documentation and optimization of sensitive information workflows and related crown jewels
  • Leads technical guidance around security best practices encompassing both digital and physical domains
  • Provide technical solutions to internal and external business units with an emphasis around secure content creations best practices
  • Serve as the regional liaison for all Distribution (Broadcast and Direct to Consumer) Content Security and Sensitive Information Protection related matters
  • Leverage resources and efforts managed by the various Sensitive Information Protection teams to apply best practices and a consistent methodology to workflow advisory, policies, and training/awareness initiatives.

Specific Responsibilities:

Third Party Assessment & Training

  • Manages regional production vendors, service providers and licensees’ initial assessments and annual reviews
  • Manages regional production vendors, service providers and licensees’ training & awareness
  • Coordinate with segment’s regional Information Security Offices the evaluation of related App & Cloud Security Programs efforts

Discovery & Optimization

  • Manages the initial creation of various internal sensitive information workflows assessments as well as annual updates
  • Manages the initial creation of Third Parties related workflow assessments
  • Coordinate with regional Global Information Security review and evaluation of App & Cloud internal systems

Program Management

  • Manages the development and maintenance of a regional program management system for tracking projects and operational initiatives and identify key deliverables and milestone dates
  • Manages the implementation and maintenance of regional work plan for all operational activities and projects, and provide an appropriate avenue to gather and collate status updates from team members

Policy, Training & Awareness Management

  • Manages the regional adaptation and maintenance of policies related to Sensitive Information protection to address risks
  • Manages the regional release of policies, in coordination with the global SIP Training & Awareness and Disney Community Watch teams
  • Manages the regional segment’s Sensitive Information Protection Communities

Incident Management

  • Manages memorializing leaks for reusability and documentation
  • Manages, where applicable, the investigation of regional incidents
  • Manages, where applicable, for the remediation of incidents

Report Management

  • Manages creating presentation materials used for quarterly updates with key stakeholders
  • Manages generating monthly KPI & reports
  • Manages creating other ad-hoc quarterly reports as needed

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Support the strategic planning of SIP services and identify opportunities to better service the requirements of segment stakeholders.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, IT Engineering, Math, or a related field
  • Expertise in strategy development and presentation to management
  • At least 5 years’ experience successfully managing technical projects from inception through completion, leveraging a variety of project management skills and methodologies
  • At least 3 years’ experience successfully aggregating complex, diverse and sometimes contradictory elements into a comprehensive strategy
  • At least 3 years’ experience in media and media security related fields
  • At least 3 years’ experience in conducting security assessment against established security, for large corporations
  • PMP certification is a plus
  • CISSP, CISM certifications are a plus
  • SSDLC in media environment is a plus

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Pro-active and must possess a hands-on, collaborative working style
  • Rapidly assimilate and summarize information from disparate sources
  • Excellent orientation to both the details and the bigger picture
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and understand written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to organize and schedule work effectively, under time constraints, handling multiple tasks
  • Understanding of Media Security (E.g., media encryption, DRM, various forms of video and audio marking and fingerprinting) required
  • Understanding of the following:
    • Firewalls and network switching / routing devices (e.g., Palo Alto, SonicWall, Fortinet, Brocade, Cisco, HP)
    • Storage solutions (e.g., SAN, NAS, encrypted storage mechanisms)
    • Digital transfer tools (e.g., Aspera, Signiant)
    • OS hardening best practices for both servers and workstations
  • Experience in the following would be beneficial:
    • Understanding of Media IT systems, including production and post-productions environments
    • Understanding of feature film and TV production and post-production industries, services, and workflows (e.g., DI, editing, visual/audio effects, encoding, dubbing, DVD/BD replication)
  • Experience evaluating physical security protocols at facilities
