Job Summary:

The Senior Analyst – Finance role will be part of the Regional Finance team which supports the growing markets of South East Asia, India and Middle East (SAMENA) within the Disney Consumer Products Licensing business
The individual will be based in Singapore, reporting directly to the Senior Finance Manager. He/She will be partnering with the SAMENA Regional team in Category Management and Marketing and responsible to track financial performance and ensure data is captured accurately and timely for analyses and decision-making. The role will be involved in the development and continuous improvement of tracking tools and reports leveraging on systems such as Power BI etc. The individual will also be heavily involved in the financial modelling for new/flexible business models and initiatives

This dynamic role will have close collaboration with the Finance teams in SAMENA markets and APAC clusters with key focus to gather deeper understanding and analytics of data, and sharing of practices and resources. He/She will also be involved in preparing presentation decks to deliver key financial insights to the management. He/She will also need to work closely with Finance Controllers and the Accounting Shared Services team on financial closing & reporting

  • Support Regional teams in Category Management, Accounts Management and Marketing for tracking financial performance, KPI review with focus to drive revenue growth, including performance of New Business, Direct-to-Retail (DTRs), e-Commerce, Marketing spends across SAMENA markets
  • Develop tools to efficiently track and drive better understanding of performance and metrics
  • Bring performance measurement to a higher level through advance data modelling and visualization (i.e. PowerBI dashboard etc) and to ensure it fits the purpose and requirement of the wider Finance and Commercial Team
  • Work with Data source providers (including DPEP IT team, Shared Accounting team) to ensure financial data accuracy and timeliness
  • Support business team with business cases, financial modelling and value chain analyses for flexible business models, Licensing+ deals across SAMENA such as shopDisney rollout, Vertical Toys distribution, Food & Beverage and Experiential opportunities and others as rolled out by the Business
  • Support in analyzing gap analyses, new business opportunities & initiatives within the markets, interpret and analyze data for Senior Management’s review
  • Build strong relationship with local, regional as well as with global stakeholders across Finance and Business

Basic Qualifications:

  • Strong financial business acumen and partnering skills
  • Able to work both individually and in a large corporate team
  • Strong in data modelling and visualization
  • Strong analytical thinking in both quantitative and qualitative analyses
  • Effective communication with different levels of people
  • Adaptive mindset, resourceful and willing to learn continuously
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience after graduation​​​​​​​
  • A relevant degree in Finance / Accounting​​​​​​​
  • Proven experience and exposure to track financial performance in MNC, with strong focus on business support to commercial executives​​​​​​​
  • Proficient in IT skills, with prior SAP, Cognos experience preferred
  • ​​​​​​​Experience in Regional markets is preferred
