Job Summary:

This role is based in Singapore and is responsible for 13 APAC markets spanning North Asia (5), Southeast Asia (6) & ANZ (2).

This role will be part of the APAC Corporate Strategy team. The incumbent will aim to provide a good understanding of key market trends & consumer behaviour, their attitudes & preferences, and leverage relevant data & insights to work with business teams and form appropriate business strategies or answer the critical strategic questions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop customized primary research approaches based on business needs
  • Synthesize complex quantitative and qualitative data into clear, actionable insights
  • Leverage & integrate secondary databases to provide holistic business solutions
  • Conduct desktop research to support and provide insights based on business needs
  • Collaborate with overseas cross-function teams on insights and analysis projects
  • Work in an ever-changing and complex environment, and comfortable with ambiguity and navigating a fast-paced environment
  • Prepare and share analytics with the relevant stakeholders
  • Track performance of business strategies

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years experience in top manage consulting firms, specialized in consumer goods or consumer internet; or 5-10 years of relevant experience in the consulting function of market research firms
  • Extensive experience with the full lifecycle of consumer research: designing the approach/sample, writing questionnaires/discussion guides, managing fieldwork and related vendors, developing analytic plans, conducting data analysis, preparing compelling deliverables
  • Experience in a range of research methodologies (e.g., MaxDiff, TURF, segmentation, conjoint, derived importance, attitudes & usage studies, focus groups, online communities, etc.)
  • Preference for candidates with demonstrated experience using analytical skills to generate insights that inform business strategy. Mastery of Excel required; familiarity with tools such as Alteryx, SPSS, and Tableau a plus
  • Insights about media/entertainment consumers, sensitive to identifying and following market trends
  • Familiarity with the APAC markets highly preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree required, advanced degree preferred
  • Fluency in English
  • Strong business acumen and problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
