Job Summary:

A role for an experienced Senior Manager who will work with the Regional Director and the CPC APAC teams to develop and manage the strategy for The National Geographic brand. Integral to the position, is country expansion & management of the store model; as well as the development of complimentary licensed program to expand category and consumer touchpoints

Responsibilities:

  • Overall management of the APAC and Global relationship, across commercial and product, for The Nature Holding, working closely with the Regional Director.
  • Ensure on-going transparent communication with global & regional teams and related functions (eg Marketing, Finance and Creative)
  • Set and deliver the APAC AOP & 5-year plans, working in conjunction with the Regional Director and country teams.
  • Work with each country & partnership (The Nature Country Partnership) to develop the specific strategies to drive on-going success & expansion of store footprint.
  • Manage, together with country and regional stakeholders, the ‘One Brand’ strategy across APAC - including product selection, marketing activations and in-store design
  • Manage & grow existing regional licensing deals
  • Identify and deliver incremental business opportunities (outside the core categories under The Nature Holding) by expanding complimentary product categories and consumer audiences.
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, competitors, business opportunities and dynamics

Basic Qualifications:

  • Creative thinker with the ability to see the big picture whilst recognising and valuing detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills and able to collaborate and influence across levels
  • Strong commercial acumen and operational excellence
  • Proven track record in key account management with 9+ years of experience in retail and consumer products industry.
  • University graduate in Business Administration or Marketing from a reputable university.
  • Knowledge of the retail & consumer landscape in APAC
  • Professional “can-do” attitude, taking a proactive approach
  • Self-starter with high initiative & proactive approach
  • Builds relationships – Establishes external relationships with key stakeholders. Engages colleagues across the Disney organisation to optimise performance.
  • Communicates effectively – Obtains full engagement through inspiring communications. Effectively persuades others to support ideas and plans.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to see the big picture whilst recognising and valuing detail
