Job Summary:

Key Goals:
As part of the FOX Sports Digital team, the Senior Product Manager will be responsible for the product development and project management of all FNG Asia digital products. This includes overseeing the various digital initiatives across FOX Sports Digital. Including but not limited to all application and website product development, social media platforms, and other digital product related initiatives.
The role will be expected to liaise with both external vendors and internal stakeholders to keep projects organized and on time and requires a hands-on multifaceted digital media professional.

Responsibilities:

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee project lifecycle of digital products to deliver on time and on-target.
  • Undertake project scoping, time management, planning and execution.
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
  • Collaborate with internal and external cross-functional teams on projects and new businesses.
  • Facilitate and lead project meetings.
  • Prepare and gather project requirements and product backlogs.
  • Analyze and prepare various reports relating to current projects and product developments.
  • Perform user acceptance testing and quality assurance across web and mobile devices.
  • Be an integral part of senior management to help drive and influence the digital strategy across the business.
  • Work closely with the content and channel teams to push consumption driving content.
  • Develop, implement and manage the FOX Sports Social Media strategy.
  • Lead usability research efforts, documentation, wire framing, competitive analysis, brainstorming, interaction models and feature development.
  • Take ownership of the FOX Sports digital products to ensure consistent usage growth and to evolve and innovate the digital products with the aim to be the best in market.
  • Support digital marketing strategies across FNG Asia’s channel, products and communications network.
  • Work closely with the ESPN International Product and Editorial teams to develop and grow the ESPN digital products in the region.
  • Work closely with the Ad Sales team to maximise advertising revenue opportunities.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

Qualifications:
  • University degree preferably in Business or Technology, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong understanding of digital media technologies and platforms. With particular focus on websites, apps and social media within a media or related industry.
  • Good usability experience on mobile and web platforms.
  • Working knowledge of Agile and/or other project management methods a plus.
  • Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other upcoming social media platform best practices.

Experience Required:
  • Minimum of 6 years relevant work experience.
  • Practical experience in managing multiple and differing types of projects.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in good UX across mobile / tablet apps and websites.
  • Ability to demonstrate experience in understanding what’s required to grow a digital audience.
  • Experience within a digital development environment.
  • Experience in direct to consumer digital products with a strong understanding of consumer behavior in a B2C environment and user data collection.


Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strategic acumen; ability to understand and translate complex business challenges into smart digital solutions.
  • Able to create and analyse comprehensive reports on the FOX Sports Digital products.
  • Fundamental understanding of Web based technologies and mobile applications, interactive/advanced media and development – Web, iOS and Android.
  • Strong understanding of user behavior across all types of digital touch points.
  • Strong understanding of Social Media and how to leverage off the various platforms to drive consumption.
  • Good understanding of digital media and direct to consumer technologies with particular focus in the digital video space. Including, but not limited to, high level system architecture, encoding, transcoding, live and on-demand streaming, DRM, authentication methodologies, subscriptions and payment gateways.
  • Working knowledge of Agile and/or other project management methods a plus.
  • Excellent problem solving skills, coupled with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to communicate with staff at all levels.
  • Have a rounded knowledge and some passion for Sports.
  • Be a team player with enthusiastic, eager to learn and be resourceful.

  • Ability and willingness to work in a small team and be self-sufficient, sometimes with limited resources.
  • Enthusiastic to learn and dive in, roll up your sleeves and do anything and everything that is required to deliver on a project. Will not accept that something “cannot be done.”
