Job Summary:

We are seeking a Social Media Editor to join the EPSN editorial team on a casual basis.


You will have the knowledge, confidence and drive to pitch ideas for written and video content, and graphics on a daily basis. Working on the ESPNAusNZ accounts across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, it is essential you have the skills to bring these ideas to life using Photoshop and video editing software like Premiere or Final Cut Pro. As part of the role, you will be responsible for driving growth, engagement, off-platform video views and website referrals with your ideas and executions.

Basic Qualifications:

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of sport, with a particular focus on NBA, cricket and the major domestic codes in Australia/New Zealand. Experience in a similar social media, graphic design or video editing position is also essential. This is a key role for as it looks to strengthen its position in a highly competitive marketplace.

  • The social media knowledge and editing skills to produce highly engaging video content
  • A creative, proactive and confident approach to ideas and content creation
  • The ability to identify content that will perform well on ESPN AusNZ’s social channels \\Using real-time data and analytics to inform your decision making
  • Experience using Photoshop to produce graphics for social media
  • A sound knowledge of global and domestic sport and the sports media landscape
  • Liaising and planning with global ESPN editions including the U.S. and UK.

Additional Information:

  • Casual basis; 2-4 shifts per week
  • Role can be Melbourne or Sydney based
