Assistant Manager or Manager, Marketing, Disney Channels

Job Summary:

Responsible for strategic marketing, planning and execution of activities to for Disney and FOX branded channels based on overall annual television and corporate marketing plan, including but not limited to,

- Content specific marketing projects including launch and sustain plans, to maximize content awareness and ratings performance
- Channel specific marketing and promotions to support affiliate relations with priority MSOs, in coordination with the Platform Sales and Affilliate Marketing teams, to maintain affiliate relations and maximize corresponding revenue
- Franchise specific marketing and promotions, coordinating across lines of business and with corporate marketing, to maximize affinity, awareness and sales, leveraging our owned media

Responsibilities:

In addition to key marketing and promotions activities, day to day administrative responsibilities will also include,

Promotions and event planning and execution coordinating with internal and external personnel, agencies and production houses

- Creative development and production of marketing and promotional materials, tools, and collateral coordinating with stakeholders and complying to approval processes
- Project budget management including schedule, briefing, cost, vendor, and billing management
- Information dissemination, sharing and reporting regarding content, channel, and franchise based marketing projects, including x-LOB synergy activities, to both internal and external stakeholders

- Team player
- Strong organization and communications skills: ability to organize thoughts, comments and requests from multiple parties quickly and effectively into effective creative/production briefs
- Clear understanding of creative and production processes from briefing through to final production
- In depth knowledge of media planning and management including including media mix, promotions and research; strength in digital communications/promotions preferable
- Adept user of standard office applications: Excel, Word and Powerpoint and/or Keynote
- Effective project manager
- Ability to perform under pressure
- Attention to detail
- Logical/strategic thinker
- Multi-task management
- Language: Japanese and English (written and spoken), TOEIC 800 and above

Experience

- 5 years marketing experience, preferably in the entertainment industry
- Pay television or content distributor experience advantageous
- Retail marketing experience a plus- Television industry or content distribution companies experience a plus
- Character/animation franchising experience a plus
