The role is responsible for implementation of short form scheduling and break optimization strategies for channels from The Walt Disney Company portfolio in Central Europe.
This role will require you to be onsite 4 days a week.
Areas of Responsibility
Preparation and on time delivery of high-quality and competitive presentation schedules on a daily and monthly basis:
Prepare schedules, observe media plans in terms of promotion spots, and ensure secondary events, opt-out cues and any other transmission instructions are correctly added.
Ensure schedules are 100% accurate before sending to transmission and deliver them on time.
Schedule cross promotions and their placements according to media plans.
Schedule campaigns (sponsorships and other ad sales activity) in close cooperation with local ad sales brokers and ad sales department.
Be responsible for the implementation and observance of local law regulations concerning broadcast of commercial materials.
Maintain a creative level of presentation elements in line with branding guidelines.
Give creative support of the Programming Department in decisions concerning the construction of break structure and on-air promotion.
Use research data to place promos and maximise audience awareness.
Cooperate with internal departments (in particular – Programming and On Air Promotion) to implement on-air promotion strategy.
Review continuity elements to make sure that promotional priorities are clearly communicated.
Liaise with transmission on any changes or errors that may occur and adjust schedules accordingly.
Work collaboratively with programming teams to maximise best practises and knowledge.
Provide cover across network schedules when required.
Other projects as assigned.
Experience and Professional Qualifications Required
Experience on similar position in media business
TV/Broadcast industry experience
Knowledge of broadcast management systems (preferably WhatsON) will be an advantage
Good knowledge of MS Office
Understanding of transmission process
Good command of English both written and verbal
Skills Required
Good time management & organisational abilities
Working effectively under tight deadlines
Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Good communication skills and teamwork-oriented attitude
Proactive attitude to managing and solving challenges, identifying improvements and opportunities.
Knowledge of Broadcast Management System e.g. What’s On, as well as channel reporting systems will an advantage.
Ability to adapt and learn new systems quickly.
Previous experience working in a TV programme planning, presentation, digital department will be an advantage.
