This role will be part of a critical team leading the charge in aggressively growing subscriptions (print & digital) and profitability. Core to our new strategy is tapping into the existing fan base of Disney brands as well as new strategic partnerships as a channel for new subscribers. You will lead this new function focusing on the development, negotiation, implementation and oversight of these strategic partnerships. This role will be accountable for delivering a minimum of 30% of new acquisitions over the new few years.


  • This role will be responsible for developing a strategy and plan: Identify and prioritize internal partnership opportunities across The Walt Disney Company. Lead acquisition efforts that align to the TWDC 'synergy' priorities and define creative solutions to integrate subscriptions into existing commerce. Develop a prospect list for external partnership and secure mutually beneficial partners. Define new deal structures and partnership go to market plans.
  • Lead the execution of all partnership plans: Proactively identify new growth opportunities (partners/channels/platforms). Prioritize based on potential audience size & quality, expected CPA, implementation effort, and brand compatibility. Continuously test and optimize strategies and tactics across the partner portfolio. Collaborate with partners and internal teams on creative ways to bundle subscription offerings.
  • Manage partnership integration initiatives that create a seamless subscription ordering experience.


  • At least 10 years experience of External Partner Interaction, partnerships, & business development.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation and relationship management skills.
  • Able to lead through persuasion and use data/research.
  • Development of presentations, spreadsheets, basic financial models.
  • Success negotiating partnerships with a broad spectrum of stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize partnership opportunities and related tasks in line with strategic business objectives.
