The Direct Channel Strategy and Activation (DCS&A) team is focused on delivering powerful customer experiences across engagement touch points, by applying data and tools to bring marketing to life. The DCS&A team leads consumer data selection for 1:1 marketing campaigns and manages deployment of direct channel tactics. We accomplish these capabilities with partnerships internally within Disney as well with vendors and software/data suppliers.

You will report to the DCS&A Associate Manager. You will work in-office Monday – Thursday and be remote on Fridays.

What You Will Do

  • Design, build, and sustain end-to-end marketing campaign flows from data selection to HTML development, data validation, proofing, and campaign deployment using agile methodology in automation tools such as Adobe Campaign and Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Perform SQL queries and analyze large datasets in Snowflake database to identify, segment, qualify, and test customer audiences as well as troubleshoot data issues
  • Translate technical details and data insights into compelling stories and campaign visions for non-technical marketing partners, fostering alignment through clear communication
  • Perform technical analysis, level-of-effort estimation, and contribute to the development of direct channel communications
  • Focus on continuous innovation by creating user efficiencies, solving business/customer issues, inventing creative solutions, encouraging communication, and ensuring data accuracy
  • Monitor the health and deployment cadence of automated marketing campaigns through various reporting tools.
  • Work with quality assurance partners to perform comprehensive testing and proofing prior to launch to ensure accurate campaign execution
  • Work with marketing partners to prioritize work based on campaign timelines, balancing urgency and importance amid shifting priorities

You Have:

  • Passion for using data and creativity to connect with customers
  • Excellent communication skills, able to simplify complex concepts for both technical and non-technical partners
  • Comfortable learning new technologies and collaborating across disciplines
  • 2+ years of direct experience with multiple programming languages (Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML) for email
  • Ability to manipulate email code templates, revise modular layouts and provide both strategic and technical direction to creative developers
  • Direct experience with email delivery platforms such as Adobe Campaign, Salesforce, or other equivalent campaign management platforms
  • Direct experience with SQL analyzing large datasets, perform selects, joins, troubleshoot data issues and validate audience segmentation

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
