We are seeking a motivated and experienced entry-level software engineer for the Experience Management organization for our Disney Streaming apps (Disney+, Hulu and Star+). As an engineer on this team, you will work with a team of peers to build state-of-the-art curation and enrichment tools that brings delightful experiences to millions of our viewers across the globe
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain our internal toolset and APIs for curation, observability and enrichment to bring delightful experiences to the viewers of D+ and Hulu
- Collaborate with Product and Program managers to break down and implement tasks for the tools
- Participate in an agile development environment and deliver features within the expected timeframe
- Foster and maintain effective communication channels with your team members
- Leave systems better than you found them
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field OR Coding Bootcamp qualifications with proficiency in at least one of the following languages - Java, Python, Kotlin
- Demonstrated educational experience or personal project time working with React, Angular or similar frontend technologies
- Demonstrated success in being part of a team problem-solving and communicating with empathy and respect
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
The hiring range for this position in Los Angeles, CA is 93,400.00-125,200.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
