Job Overview:

Consumer Insight, Measurement & Analytics (CIMA) is part of the Finance organization for Disney Experiences. CIMA influences decision making with integrated, objective, and applicable insights. Within CIMA, the Consumer Insight Shared Services team drives value by delivering quality data and analytic technologies to promote a clear understanding of consumers and Guests that are used to identify improvement opportunities and influence essential strategies across the business.

We are looking for someone to serve as CI Data and System Integration Developer reporting to the Technology Lead Integration Manager, Consumer Insight. The position is an important developer role on the Technology Services team responsible for developing data pipelines, enriching/transforming data, and partnering to develop database structures that provide the best business value.

The CI Data and System Data Integration Developer is a technology role that has experience with development languages (python) and coding practices (git, gitlab) such that they can develop, review, validate, and improve solutions in a way that ensures that our services are performant, scalable, and reliable regardless of the volume of transactions or execution concurrency that is expected.

What you will do:

  • Able to develop solutions based on requirements provided
  • Familiar with SQL, ETL development and common Disney systems of record
  • Able to use source control system
  • Comfortable sustaining (enhancing / troubleshooting) existing solutions
  • Passion in creativity, 'learning how things work'
  • Comfortable following runbooks to complete manual processes
  • Comfortable participating in an on-call rotation
  • Capable of assisting the Tech vertical in times of high qualitative studies
  • Identify and recommend solutions and technologies to promote platform development
  • Conduct POCs and viability analysis on technology solutions
  • Communicate with all partners regarding test or evaluation results; partner with technology and data services teams to interpret feedback and integrate into product iterations
  • Help resolve problems in root cause determination and future prevention strategy and design documentation

What you will need:

  • 3+ years of experience architecting and developing data integration and ETL solutions
  • Experience with code and release management tools (e.g. Git, CI/CD)
  • Experience with programming languages: Python, Java, PIG, HIVE, SAS, and JavaScript
  • Experience with big data technologies (NoSQL): Snowflake, Hadoop/HDFS, Shell Scripting, Spark, Kafka

What will set you apart:

  • Experience with Dataiku (create projects and plugins, troubleshoot flows)
  • Experience working at a market research supplier
  • Experience in the Travel Industry

Required Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar field or related work experience

Preferred Education:

Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering
