Job Summary:

At The Walt Disney Company, the Disney Experiences Technology team creates world-class immersive technology experiences for the company’s premier vacation brands, including Disney Parks & Resorts worldwide and Disney Signature Experiences.

Within Disney Signature Experiences, the Disney Cruise Line team is responsible for delivering end-to-end digital and physical experiences for both Guests and Cast Members. This includes leading technology initiatives across the fleet, supporting core platforms, the Disney Cruise Line website, and the Disney Cruise Line Navigator mobile app, while serving multiple lines of business both shoreside and onboard.

What You Will Do:

This Lead Product Manager role sits within the shoreside platforms and experiences segment of Disney Cruise Line and is responsible for defining and driving product strategy, concept development, and delivery of initiatives that enhance the Cruise shopping and planning experience. The Lead drives business outcomes including conversion, revenue, and operational efficiency.

The position works closely with Product Management, Program Management, UX, Technology, Architecture, and Business Operations teams to deliver scalable solutions that balance near-term optimization with long-term platform evolution and innovation.

This role plays a critical leadership function in evolving and championing Agile product operating model best practices, including establishing structured intake processes for new work, ensuring alignment of priorities across stakeholders, and driving effective Program Increment (PI) Planning coordination to enable scalable, predictable delivery across teams.  The role partners closely with portfolio and programs management, the release train engineer (RTE), release management teams.

Success in this role requires strong collaboration within a matrixed organization, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and comfort operating both independently and across teams. The Lead Product Manager translates complex technologies and capabilities into intuitive, high-quality digital products and applications. Additionally, this role serves as a liaison between development, implementation, and support teams, while overseeing multiple initiatives, driving continuous improvements, and managing product backlogs and feature prioritization.

Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Define and drive product strategy and outcome-based roadmap for Disney Cruise Line ecommerce and reservation management experiences, aligning Guest needs, business objectives, operational impacts, and technology capabilities.

  • Champion and operationalize Agile product operating model best practices, including governing a scalable intake process to evaluate and prioritize competing initiatives while aligning work across business and technology stakeholders.

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration across Product, Engineering, Business, and Program leadership (including RTE) to align priorities, manage dependencies, and ensure effective capacity planning and sequencing within PI cycles.

  • Translate product vision into execution by defining requirements (epics, user stories), prioritizing backlogs, and coordinating delivery across internal teams and external partners.

  • Drive a product-centric mindset and culture of continuous improvement, leading product discovery through user research, hypothesis validation, and experimentation to evolve capabilities and deliver business value.

  • Serve as the primary product liaison for Disney Cruise Line stakeholders, providing clear communication, influencing decisions, and ensuring alignment from development teams through executive leadership.

  • Leverage data, analytics, experimentation, AI/ML-driven insights, and market insights to inform decisions, track KPIs, and continuously refine product strategies and Guest experiences.

  • Provide leadership visibility through product performance through reporting, including scorecards, progress updates, and strategic recommendations to business and technology leaders.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 7 years of product management experience, including 5+ years in a highly technical product management role, delivering complex technology products, enterprise platforms, or distributed systems in close partnership with engineering teams.

  • Proven ability to lead product strategy and execution for multiple products or large-scale initiatives – from product definition through technical delivery and continuous iteration – aligning business objectives with scalable technology solutions that maximize business value and Guest outcomes.

  • Strong technical fluency in modern software architectures, including APIs (REST, SOAP, JSON), microservices, distributed data systems, and containerization technologies, with deep experience across the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).

  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical capabilities into clear product requirements and release strategies, including epics, user stories, acceptance criteria.

  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills, leveraging product analytics, KPIs, monitoring, experimentation (A/B testing, behavior analysis, consumer research, AI/ML insights), and operational metrics to inform product strategy, prioritize work, and evaluate tradeoffs.

  • Experience with modern product, engineering, analytics, and financial tools such as Jira, Confluence, GitHub, Splunk, Adobe Analytics, Snowflake, Tableau, LaunchDarkly, Contentsquare, MyPPM, Smartsheet, and emerging AI-enabled platforms.

  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder leadership skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business audiences, and collaborate effectively with distributed, external, bi-coastal, and international teams.

  • Proven ability to navigate complex problems, negotiate priorities, and drive alignment across cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.

  • Passion for mentoring, guiding, and supporting team members while advocating for strong product management and Agile best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in a related field.

  • Experience working with Disney digital platforms, including Disney Cruise Line’s website, mobile app, Seaware, and shared platforms including GAM, Profile/F&F, the Adaptive Payment Platform, and the suite of asset management tools.

  • Strong understanding of consumer product experience design, with the ability to build solutions that support multiple user groups including internal teams, travel agents, and direct-to-consumer Guests.

  • Familiarity with applying AI/ML technologies to enhance digital experiences, including personalization, predictive analytics, or content optimization.

  • Experience evaluating emerging technology solutions and companies for fit and viability against use cases.

  • Familiarity with digital marketing performance and optimization, including SEO, social media campaign measurement, AI-driven content insights, and media attribution models.

  • Familiarity with financial reporting and reconciliation, including data integrity and testing requirements for regulatory standards and best practices, including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) rules, internal audit controls, general ledger, and fraud controls.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in a related field, or equivalent experience delivering product solutions across Guest Experience, eCommerce, Service and/or quality performance, insights, and measurement.


The hiring range for this position in Orlando, FL is $148,300.00 to $198,800.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
