Product Manager – DCL Crew Technology 

About the Role: 

The Product Manager for DCL Crew Technology is responsible for supporting the delivery and continuous improvement of technology solutions that enable Crew Members, shipboard leadership, and shoreside partners across the Crew lifecycle. This role focuses on day-to-day product ownership, requirements definition, and delivery execution while partnering closely with Engineering, Business, and Technology teams to ensure solutions meet user needs and business objectives. 

Reporting to a Manager of Crew Technology Products, the Product Manager operates with growing autonomy and accountability, contributing to product strategy execution while developing deeper product management expertise and understanding of Disney Cruise Line operations and Crew Technology platforms. 

Responsibilities of the Role:

This role supports the execution of product roadmaps for assigned Crew Technology capabilities, ensuring alignment with Crew Technology priorities and Disney Cruise Line business needs. The Product Manager participates in discovery and consultation efforts to understand user and stakeholder needs, translating requirements into well-defined user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritized backlogs. 

Working closely with Software Engineering, Technical Project Management, Business & Information Analysts, and cross-functional partners, the Product Manager supports end-to-end delivery activities including backlog refinement, sprint planning, testing, and release readiness. This role collaborates with stakeholders across HR, Operations, IT, Legal, and external vendors to support solution integration, communication, and adoption, while escalating risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs as appropriate.

  • Communicates effectively with cross-functional partners and team members through clear, timely, and professional interactions. Builds positive working relationships and seeks guidance when navigating complex or competing priorities. 

Consultation & Business Requirements Collection:

  • Supports consultation with stakeholders to understand business processes and user needs. Documents and refines requirements into clear product artifacts that support delivery and alignment with business objectives. 

Business Acumen & Strategic Thinking:

  • Develops an understanding of Disney Cruise Line operations and how technology supports Crew experiences and operational outcomes. Applies this understanding to inform prioritization and product decisions within defined scope. 

Technical Knowledge & Skills:

  • Demonstrates foundational technical product management knowledge, including Agile delivery practices and backlog management. Partners with Engineering to understand technical considerations and supports delivery through clear, well-defined requirements. 

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in product management or related roles 

  • Experience supporting delivery of technology products in a cross-functional environment 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 

  • Ability to translate business needs into clear product requirements and user stories 

  • Willingness to learn and grow product management, technical, and domain expertise 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience with workforce, HR, or operational technology platforms 

  • Familiarity with Agile delivery environments 

  • Exposure to travel, hospitality, or regulated industries 

  • Understanding of Disney values and crew-centric principles 

Required Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field / equivalent work experience
