We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our team of program managers, portfolio managers, and project managers. The candidate will be responsible for the analysis of business processes, requirements gathering, and solution development to drive business growth and efficiency. The Senior Business Analyst will collaborate with a magnitude of internal & external partners to understand program needs, strategic direction, and ensure initiative delivery. This role is positioned to assist with department-wide change across the Technology & Digital organization to achieve our strategic goals.

This position requires a strategic problem solver with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging and persuading peers and leaders to adopt new insights, strategies, and initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess an understanding of organizational dynamics and be able to navigate relationships to influence decision-making.

If selected for this role, you will report to the Senior Manager, Portfolio Planning Management.

What You Will Do

  • Research and analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that advise business decisions. Determine reporting capabilities that provide insights.

  • Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual forecast submission activities, understanding the objectives, process, data inputs, variances, etc for leadership report out.

  • Assist with defining scope and determine solutions to department challenges. Define compelling arguments and business cases to support proposed initiatives.

  • Evaluate and maintain project plans, timelines, and ultimately budgets. Ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.

  • Target and mitigate issues that may impact initiative and department success; Address potential objections or concerns from department leaders.

  • Partner with cross-functional internal teams (portfolio managers, project managers) & external partners (finance, software engineers, database admins, server admins, product managers, etc) to define initiative scope, goals, key performance indicators (KPI), outcomes and deliverables.

  • Gather, document, and prioritize requirements for highly complex solutions. Translate requirements into functional designs for development, testing and implementation.

  • Partners with peers or the business to gather and document requirements (functional and nonfunctional), using techniques such as workshop facilitation, document analysis, onsite walkthroughs / shadowing, use case creation, scenario modeling, and task/workflow analysis.

  • Monitor and communicate project status, issues, and risks to partners, management and community of practice.

  • Document current-state and recommend strategies to improve program & project processes and the portfolio practice.

  • Collaborate with partners on the evaluation of the feasibility, effort and costs to implement requirements.

  • Evaluate impacting business rules, functional requirements and specifications.

  • Participate in the community of practice by providing strategic input on portfolio, project & program management standard processes. Monitor industry trends and standard processes to advise influencing strategies.

  • Act as a change agent, participating and promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement for the program. Ensures the benefits, impact and release of all changes are supervised, managed, and communicated to relevant partners.

  • Provides subject matter expertise on the business unit and associated processes and systems to all relevant team members.

  • Ability to be ambiguous in an ever-changing environment.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 5+ years proven experience as a Program or Business Analyst

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

  • Strong leadership and time management skills

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Experience with change management principles

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint

  • Understanding of software development tools such as JIRA, Confluence, etc.

  • Familiarity with big data / visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau and the core concepts of relational data

  • Experience with business analysis tools and application development methodologies

  • Knowledge of project management principles and practices; Software Development lifecycle (SDLC)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA)

  • Experience with Agile methodologies

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, etc.

  • Experience in the Technology industry or domain, working with financial partners

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Technology, Business, Finance, related field or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Education

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Technology, related field or equivalent work experience.
