We are responsible for the end-to-end digital and physical Guest and Cast experience for all technology & digital-led initiatives across the Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation, PhotoPass and Merchandise lines of business.
What You'll Do:
This Senior Product Manager role is a leader in the technology and digital segment of the Disney Cruise Line business. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Product Management, the Senior Product Manager will drive product strategy, concept development, and delivery of initiatives in collaboration with our Product Management, Technology, and Business Operation team partners.
As a Senior Technical Product Manager, you will understand the business and technical capabilities, identify gaps, and deliver product roadmaps for new capabilities. You are collaborative, able to work successfully in a matrix organization while wearing multiple hats and are comfortable working autonomously. As a leader, you act as a resource for colleagues and may mentor others. Adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into high quality, simple products, and applications. Be a liaison to development, implementation, and support teams as well as support multiple projects, improvements, backlog and prioritization of features and capabilities.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum of 5 years of product management experience with building and delivering quality reservation management and/or ecommerce products, services, and capabilities, or combination of 3 years of technical product management experience with additional 3 years of relevant engineering, data science, or analytic science experience, required.
Experience and comfort solving problems in an ambiguous environment where there is regular change. Have the tenacity to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, inspire change, and collaborate with a variety of individuals and organizational partners.
Deep commitment to curiosity - conducting research, gathering metrics, proactively identifying & addressing issues or opportunities during requirements gathering processes, and applying rigorous attention to detail during the creative and technical designs for high quality functionality and user experience.
Data-focused mindset and proven ability to use data to support and influence all aspects of impact, reach, effort, confidence, and cost when solving problems and analyze solutions.
Highly organized and analytical with a collaborative attitude to influence strategy, optimization and feature delivery that relies on multiple cross-team dependencies.
Champion of Agile technical practices & testing concepts. Planning acumen and proven ability to break down work and define an MVP, as well as subsequent iterations. Proficient skills in scope intake, requirements documentation, valuation, and backlog management, through acceptance and validations.
Excellent presentation skills and clear, logical communication style so you can represent our product strategy and roadmap to engineering, business, and product leadership. Partner with key stakeholders to build relationships and manage scope expectations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working on reservation management systems and services supporting consumer-facing products, ideally ecommerce booking, payments/general ledger/payment reconciliation, rules logic, and availability, rate, and inventory management. Fluent in industry best practices and can identify areas for optimization and innovation.
Strong product sense for various users and what makes compelling consumer products and delightful user experiences - ensuring new designs and enhancements can best support use cases of internal teams, agents, and direct-to-consumer users.
Passionate about data integrity and the processes to manage the migration (or transition) of current data or services without outages or critical interruption to end users.
Familiar with A/B experimentation methods and hypothesis-driven development. Experience in running competitive and consumer analysis.
Systems thinker - proactive, structured, long-term thinker rather than reactive.
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred and/or equivalent work experience.
Master’s Degree in related field, MBA, or technical certifications preferred.
