We are responsible for the end-to-end digital and physical Guest experience for all technology & digital-led initiatives across the Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation and Merchandise lines of business as well as other initiatives including MyDisneyExperience and Hey, Disney!
This role sits in the Disney Cruise Line organization within Technology & Digital for Disney Experiences. It works closely with our Cruise Line partners and various teams from across the company.
The Senior Software Engineer will report to the Manager of Technology.
About The Role & Team:
This team creates and supports the Disney Cruise Line Mobile app
What You’ll Do:
- Participate in software design, coding, code reviews, and assist software architects
- Collaborate across multiple teams, from product to design to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications
- Manage production issues and solve novel problems unique to a shipboard environment
- Create opportunities to learn and improve the codebase
- May lead small projects encompassing analysis, design, programming, and debugging for our mobile application
- You will be expected to stay up to date with emerging technologies and pilot proofs of concept for those technologies
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience developing mobile applications for enterprise and consumer use.
- Comfortable working in an agile environment
- Strong proficiency and experience in Flutter with additional knowledge in Swift or Kotlin
- Experience integrating with backend systems, web services, and third-party software
- A growth mindset toward learning and a desire to give and receive feedback
- Experience composing and presenting thoughtful and implementable solutions to a variety of stakeholders (technical and non-technical)
Required Education:
- Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience.
The hiring range for this position in Florida is $130,000-$160,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
