DX’s in-house trading desk is looking for a Programmatic Team Lead. Reporting to the head of Programmatic, you will be a key leader for our Disneyland, Disney Cruise Lines (DCL), and Consumer Products businesses. You will lead a team in developing—and activating—holistic Programmatic campaigns across several DSPs including DV360, Yahoo, Amazon, and The Trade Desk.

The ideal candidate has extensive Programmatic experience will be expected to advance mobile, video, audio, and native strategies—as well as drive us forward on more advanced optimization and bidding methods. They will also have experience with team management and the development of direct/indirect reports.

You will:

  • Manage and oversee programmatic buys supporting branding and direct response across platforms like Google, Verizon, Amazon, and The Trade Desk
  • Support junior team member's development, provide consistent feedback and education on best practices and Programmatic principles
  • Be responsible for supporting strategic and optimization pivots across your assigned LOBs, to maximize business objectives
  • Maintain and develop strong, positive relationships with our Planning and Analytics counterparts, amongst others
  • Continue growth of in-house teams and responsibilities
  • Partner across teams, organizations, and companies (partners and agency) to improve overall technical setup and inter-departmental workflow
  • Be a technical partner and resource able to positively engage other teams
  • Be a model for the team through positive action and behaviors they will aim to emulate

You have:

  • 10+ years digital marketing experience
  • Experience leading a team of programmatic campaign managers
  • Extensive experience with programmatic ecosystem including supply-side platforms / ad exchanges, data management platforms, brand safety partners, data partners, and publishers
  • Strong grasp on analytics, measurement, and proper test structures to help coach team on their advanced analysis and testing
  • Familiarity and ability to maximize team's use of work management platforms such as Workfront, JIRA, etc.
  • Comfort with high level of autonomy
  • Can distill very technical details into understandable layman terms that motivate action through aligned values and goals

Education

Four-year college degree or equivalent work experience. Any Marketing, Business, Social Media, Analytics, or Statistics degree/background is a plus.

High-level estimated time allocation

  • 45% - Lead, coach, and develop Cast
  • 20% - Campaign launch, management, and optimization
  • 10% - Budget forecasting and build plan strategies
  • 10% - Inclusive partnership with teams across Customer Engagement, our Agency, Marketing Strategy, Yellow Shoes, and Analytics department (CIMA) to develop successful strategies and processes. Organizational change management through sharing of plans, proposals, and concepts to business leaders accordingly
  • 10% - Assist in answering executive requests and driving special projects (e.g., CPM analysis, technology reviews, trading desk overviews)
  • 5% - Dedicated time for learning and building skills working with key partners and teammates to master existing processes and chart out new technologies and opportunities

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA, is $126,400.00 to $169,500.00 per year. The base pay offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
