Content Platforms & Operations is responsible for the development and ongoing advancement of the technical and operational functions driving the worldwide distribution and monetization of Disney’s linear networks and theatrical content. This includes Disney’s media supply chain and storage, network and theatrical distribution operations, media localization, network transmission and origination, and more. Job Summary:
The Content Platforms & Operations Asset and Media Services Team is seeking a Senior Product Manager to drive the development, execution, and long-term success of key product capabilities that support the acquisition, inventory management, transformation, and distribution of The Walt Disney Company’s world-class content through the internal media supply chain.
In this role, you will own a significant area of a larger product ecosystem, partnering closely with business stakeholders, operations teams, engineering, and design to deliver innovative solutions that improve efficiency, scalability, and user experience. You will be responsible for defining requirements, managing priorities, and guiding product initiatives from discovery through delivery while ensuring alignment with broader product and business objectives.
As a member of a collaborative product organization, you will work alongside senior product leaders to help shape product strategy, contribute to roadmap planning, and gain experience translating business and operational challenges into scalable product capabilities. You will develop a deep understanding of user needs, operational workflows, and platform technologies while building the skills necessary to influence product direction and long-term investment decisions.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:
- Own and drive the development of a significant product area within Disney’s Asset & Media Services ecosystem, supporting content acquisition, inventory management, asset transformation, fulfillment, and distribution workflows.
- Utilize product discovery techniques, user research, and operational insights to identify opportunities and translate business needs into scalable product capabilities.
- Contribute to product strategy and roadmap planning for your area of ownership, ensuring alignment with broader business, operational, and platform objectives.
- Partner closely with engineering, design, operations, and business stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize work, and deliver high-quality product solutions.
- Manage and prioritize the product backlog, balancing customer needs, operational efficiency, business value, and technical considerations.
- Lead product execution from discovery through launch, including defining user stories, acceptance criteria, success metrics, release planning, and post-launch performance monitoring.
- Establish and track product goals, KPIs, and OKRs to measure adoption, operational impact, and customer value.
- Support the evolution of media supply chain workflows by identifying opportunities to improve content onboarding, asset management, quality control, fulfillment, and distribution processes.
- Create and maintain product documentation, workflow diagrams, user guides, and training materials to support successful adoption of product capabilities.
- Actively participate in Agile development practices, including planning sessions, daily scrums, reviews, retrospectives, and release activities.
- Build strong cross-functional partnerships through collaboration, communication, and shared accountability for outcomes.
- Continuously expand product, operational, and technical knowledge while developing deep expertise within your product domain and learning from senior product leaders.
Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of product management experience, preferably within media, technology, digital platforms, or content supply chain environments.
- Proven track record of delivering product capabilities that create measurable customer, operational, and business value.
- Experience owning a product area or major feature set and driving initiatives from discovery through launch.
- Strong product acumen with the ability to balance user needs, business objectives, and technical considerations.
- Experience translating customer, business, and operational needs into product requirements, roadmaps, and scalable solutions.
- Strong collaboration skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively across engineering, design, operations, and business teams.
- Experience with product discovery, user research, backlog management, roadmap execution, and Agile product development.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to influence decisions through data and insights.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, adapt to changing business needs, and execute effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and continuous learning.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within the media and entertainment industry.
- Understanding of content supply chain workflows, including content acquisition, inventory management, asset transformation, fulfillment, and distribution.
- Experience with media operations, digital asset management, content delivery, or workflow automation platforms.
- Familiarity with media production, post-production, digital video workflows, and/or consumer-facing content experiences.
- Experience leveraging AI tools, automation, or machine learning capabilities within product development or operational workflows.
- Passion for storytelling, media innovation, and emerging content technologies.
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
The hiring range for this position in Los Angeles is $141,900.00 - $190,300.00 per year and in New York is $148,700 - $199,400 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
