This role is within the Telecom Services organization. Our mission is to provide and support telephony, voice, wireless, video, cabling, and various infrastructure services to our Casts and Guests through efficient delivery and integration of common and secure platforms, products and devices that provide them with an experience that supports effective collaboration and communication.

We are seeking a Sr Business Analyst responsible for providing financial, accounting and data research. Primary responsibilities include financial analysis and financial reporting, budgeting/forecasting and other administrative functions established within the Telecom Business Office.

The Sr Business Analyst position reports to Manager, Telecom Business Office.

Responsibilities:

  • Gathers, analyzes and summarizes business recommendations for both individual projects and the overall businesses (both capital and expense)

  • Develop and coordinate key aspects of both the monthly (forecast) and annual financial reporting processes

  • Must work collaboratively with clients and colleagues and exert influence to deliver results

  • Effectively able to communicate financial information and develop executive presentations

  • Proactively answers and makes recommendations regarding client questions on specific cost/transactional data

  • Ensures accuracy of all financial information included in planning processes and financial analysis

  • Develop budget, quarterly forecast, long range plan, mini-forecast, monthly / quarterly closes along with ad-hoc reporting

  • Provides and builds reporting for overall support for Telecom Managers as needed and/or advised

  • Prepare cash flow reporting for managers and gather variances analysis for
    consolidated reporting to finance partners

  • Prior experience in developing LTP, AOP and ACP

  • Researches and identifies issues and trends for reporting

  • Validates and ensure costs are accurate and up to date for financial reporting

  • Builds and customizes reports on a daily/weekly/monthly basis for financial and accounting reporting related to budget, forecast and current costs

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as an Analyst with 2+ years demonstrated experience in finance or business processes

  • Must be an excellent teammate who possesses solid interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Excellent communicator in both oral and written settings

  • Able to translate financial information to various business audiences to drive decision making

  • High energy level; strong work ethic

  • Determined, independent thinker

  • SAP, MS Office products Excel, (e.g. Macros, Pivots, complex calculations, charts) PowerPoint and Power BI

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Intermediate Excel, SAP, Power BI, Microsoft Office, Service Now, SharePoint

  • Ability to simplify complex issues and incorporate effective “storytelling” to engage and influence the audience

  • Ability to deliver presentations and communication to audiences of all levels persuasively, articulately and with full command of the topic

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college; professional certification desired but
    not required (ITIL, PMO and/or IIBA) or equivalent work experience

Preferred Education:

  • Graduate degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or STEM related field (MBA, MSA, etc) or pursuing a master’s degree in Finance or Data Analytics or quantitative field or internal certifications like (Business Intelligence Level 1, Business Intelligence Level 2, Data Science Level 1, Data Science Level 2)
