Content Operations is ultimately responsible for successfully delivering Disney’s entertainment and sports content to millions of people every day. This involves developing, operating, and managing a global content supply chain – the myriad of steps involved from taking a finalized TV show/movie, or live piece of content, from inside Disney to audiences around the globe, in their preferred language and format. This team also manages technology operations in Latin America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
We are seeking a talented, hard-working and dedicated Associate Quality Control Technician to join our Media Experience team for a part-time position. In this position, you will maintain quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, finished products, and recording the results. Excellent communication and leadership skills are a must, as well as a keen attention to detail.
Our environment is incredibly dynamic, fast-paced, and sophisticated. The ideal candidate has a background in video quality control and is extremely comfortable working in Mac OS X.
Responsibilities
QC video assets for video/audio fidelity
Ability to recognize video/audio issues
Understanding of macOS and Windows operating systems
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma
Must be able to work a minimum of 28 hours per week
Must have an exemplary attention to detail.
Must possess strong communication skills.
Must possess solid organizational skills.
The candidate must be self-motivated.
The candidate must have a strong ability to multitask and adapt to new situations.
A solid computer and technical background, with experience working in new media and online organizations.
Familiarity with streaming and broadcast media
Familiarity with Google apps
Must be a team player, with an enthusiastic, congenial, and committed employee.
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of experience
Fluency in languages other than English is a big plus
Helpful skills include a background in encoding video for the web
An understanding of various video codecs, notably H.264

The hiring range for this position in New York City, NY is $37,047 to $49,590 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
