About the Role & Team
Disney’s Direct‑to‑Consumer (DTC) team oversees the Company’s global streaming businesses within the Disney Entertainment segment, delivering world‑class storytelling to audiences across Disney+, Hulu, ESPN DTC, and bundled offerings.
The Business Operations team enables the DTC organization to scale efficiently and effectively through strategic solution design, integrated planning, program management, and execution of critical cross‑functional initiatives. The team is central to driving operational excellence, scalability, and innovation across the business.
Within Business Operations, the Commerce, Partner & Experience Operations team supports the global execution of commercial offerings, promotional initiatives, and customer experience operations—while also shaping the future of operational tooling, workflows, and capabilities that power the business.
What You Will Do
The Manager, Integrated Planning & Operations plays a critical role in advancing integrated planning, operational tooling, and data‑driven workflows across DTC. This role sits at the intersection of business operations and technology, focused on designing and optimizing scalable processes, integrated workflows, and automation solutions that support business growth and execution.
A core mandate of this role is answering a mission‑critical question: What is happening across the business—and what matters most right now?
The tools and processes owned by this role enable leaders to make informed decisions, operators to execute launches effectively, and analysts to produce context‑rich insights. This includes maintaining a centralized view of milestones across content, technology, commercial initiatives, and competitive activity.
This role also serves as a key liaison between Business Operations and Technology, translating business needs into actionable technical requirements while identifying opportunities to reduce manual effort, enhance reliability, and modernize workflows.
Responsibilities
Operational Process & Workflow Development, Improvement, and Automation
Design, implement, and evolve operational processes and workflows that improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across Business Operations and cross‑functional teams
Develop integrated workflows and data solutions that connect systems, tools, and teams across the organization
Identify and drive opportunities to streamline operations through automation and modern process design
Evaluate, implement, and enhance advanced tooling solutions that support operational execution
Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Enterprise Technology to design and deploy scalable solutions that reduce manual effort and operational risk
Champion innovation in operational processes, with a focus on long‑term scalability and modernization
Define clear, actionable business requirements to support technical development and implementation
Integrated Planning & Milestone Calendar
Own and manage the Integrated Planning Milestone Calendar as the single source of truth for key initiatives, launches, and priorities across the business
Expand inputs, adoption, and usage across teams to ensure comprehensive, accurate tracking
Train and onboard users, driving consistency and best practices across the organization
Identify opportunities to improve, automate, and scale integrated planning processes and supporting tools
Ensure leadership has clear visibility into business activity to support informed, timely decision‑making
Enterprise Technology Liaison
Serve as a primary liaison between Business Operations and Enterprise Technology teams
Translate business needs into structured technical requirements and support communication back to business partners on system updates and changes
Partner with Engineering and Product to support the implementation of new or transitioning tools, systems, and company‑wide IT protocols
Collaborate with business and technical partners to identify the right tooling, processes, access, and controls to meet operational needs
Stakeholder Management & Communication
Build strong, trusted relationships with technical and non‑technical stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Enterprise Technology, and Business Operations
Act as a central point of contact for operational process and tooling initiatives
Communicate progress, risks, and opportunities clearly to leadership and cross‑functional partners
Support cross‑functional programs and working groups, including coordination of initiatives related to fraud prevention, enterprise tax, and other enterprise priorities in partnership with Product, Payments, and Center of Excellence teams
Required Qualifications & Skills
8+ years of experience in business operations, project management, operations consulting, or a related field
Experience managing and developing team members, with demonstrated accountability for performance, coaching, and outcomes
Strong operational background with a track record of improving workflows and driving efficiency at scale
Experience designing and implementing automation and integrated workflow solutions that reduce manual effort
Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to navigate a matrixed, global organization and influence without authority
Strong relationship‑building skills across technical and non‑technical teams
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving environment supporting new products and businesses
Strong hands‑on experience with Airtable; building and managing complex workflows, trackers, and data is required as this is a critical tool for this role.
Advanced proficiency in Google Workspace, particularly Google Slides, with experience creating executive‑level presentations and data visualizations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Asana, or similar project and data platforms
Ability to translate business needs into clear technical requirements and collaborate effectively with engineering and product teams
Highly organized, detail‑oriented self‑starter able to manage multiple concurrent initiatives
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in a business‑related field or equivalent professional experience
Additional Information
This role is based in the office four days per week (Monday–Thursday), with flexibility to work from home on Fridays.
The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $163,100.00 - $218,700.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
