Job Summary:

The Disney Consumer Products (DCP) Technology team drives the technology and digital transformation for Disney’s Global Product Creation, Licensing, Publishing, and Direct-to-Consumer Retail businesses. Our mission is to deliver exceptional experiences for our Guests while empowering global cast members to collaborate seamlessly with business partners—creating deals, managing revenue, designing and distributing art, and developing products for Disney’s $60B+ licensed retail business.

As Director of Product Management, you will define and lead the technology vision for Disney Consumer Products’ Global Product Creation (GPC) and Publishing portfolio. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical oversight, driving innovation that powers creativity and operational excellence across a global ecosystem. Your work will enable creators, partners, and teams worldwide to bring magical experiences to life for millions of fans.

The Director, Product Management will report to the VP, Technology - Disney Consumer Products. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Define and execute Product & technology strategy for GPC and Publishing aligned with business goals.
  • Partner with senior executives to prioritize investments and influence decisions using data-driven insights.
  • Oversee architecture and delivery of platforms for licensee access, digital asset management, product lifecycle, and title lifecycle management.
  • Drive adoption of modern engineering practices: cloud-native development, CI/CD, automated testing, observability.
  • Own end-to-end software delivery lifecycle across frontend and backend services.
  • Champion agile and DevOps practices to accelerate delivery and improve reliability.
  • Drive AI-powered innovation in product, solution design and development.
  • Ensure GDPR compliance and Disney security standards; embed privacy-by-design and secure SDLC.
  • Mentor engineering and product leaders; build talent pipelines and foster an inclusive, creative culture.
  • Represent Disney Experience Technology as a visible leader and advocate, building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.


 

Qualifications: 

  • 12 + years in Product Management Or Technology roles, including 5+ years in senior leadership.
  • Proven success leading large-scale Product & Engineering teams delivering enterprise-grade solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience driving technology transformation and modernization initiatives.
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies, DevOps, and secure SDLC.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to influence executive stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with SaaS platforms, digital asset management, and global product lifecycle systems.
  • Experience in consumer products, licensing, or B2B software technologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred (or equivalent experience).

The base salary for this position in CA is $207,400 - $278,100 per year. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
