The Disney Experiences (DX) Technology and Digital team combines custom technology solutions with creativity to produce robust applications that enhance all aspects of the guest experience. From one of the most sophisticated hotel reservation systems in the world to Disney Cruise Line shipboard systems, Disney Vacation Club member services, PhotoPass, and even inventory applications to ensure we have the right number of cast costumes.  

 

As a Software Developer in test (SDET) Lead, you will work across DX development teams supporting enterprise wide initiatives for Disney Parks.  The individual for this position should have a passion for analysis, design, implementation, and testing of operations based work.  In this role, the individual will devise the test strategy, identify testing dependencies and plan testing timelines. We seek forward-thinking team members who are passionate about delivering a quality product and enjoy working closely with business partners on both strategic and tactical challenges.  Candidate should have good verbal and written communication skills, and be able to work independently as a self-starter, utilize good time management skills, and function well within a diverse team.   

 

What you will do:

·         Lead testing initiatives throughout the SDLC from test planning, test design, test execution and test reporting 

·         Define test strategy, plan timelines and coordinate testing across multiple teams and environments

·         Identify testing dependencies

·         Ability to analyze and triage defects and route to correct team

·         Communicate regarding testing status, results and defect tracking 

·         Innovate in automation, Agile and continuous testing practices

·         Participate in the review of QA procedures and processes and provide recommendations for improvement 

·         Ability to analyze and triage defects and route to correct team

 

What you will need:

·         7+ years software test experience 

·         Experience in mobile (iOS and Android) and web test automation 

·         Experience with Agile testing methodologies and best practices 

·         Experience with API testing using Postman

·         Understanding of web technologies, including web services, web application servers and RESTful APIs 

·         Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem solving skills

·         Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. 

·         Ability to be highly flexible to quickly changing business needs and new technologies 

·         Ability to proactively reassess business needs and make suggestions to meet those needs 

 

What will set you apart:

·         Experience leading large enterprise wide testing projects 

·         Experience with Shift Left testing methodology and overall SDLC 

 

Required Education: 

·         BS/BA degree in Computer Science or other Technology related field or relevant work experience
