We are responsible for the end-to-end digital and physical Guest experience for all technology & digital-led initiatives across the Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation, and Merchandise lines of business as well as other initiatives including MyDisneyExperience and Hey, Disney!

This role sits in the Commercial Growth – Festivals & Events organization within Technology & Digital for Disney Experiences. It works closely with internal partners (developers, engineers, creative, finance) and external partners (marketing, PR, operations, legal) from across the company. 

The Manager, Product Management, Festivals & Events for DLR and WDW will report to the Senior Manager, Product Management Commercial Growth – Specialized Verticals.

About The Role & Team:

This position will be focused on Festivals & Events (Commercial Growth) for Disneyland and Walt Disney World, delivering industry-leading, personalized, timely, and relevant digital experiences via web and mobile applications. They will work with the senior manager to lead a team of digital product experts focused on the overall DLR/WDW Festivals & Events platform roadmap, integration across products and capabilities, and long-term commercial growth program at scale. They will work closely with operations, design, analytics, development, and executive teams to bring products to market and develop and grow business opportunities for Disney Experiences. A successful candidate will be highly analytical, able to work effectively in a matrixed organization, and adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into high quality products and applications that Guests love! The successful candidate will have a proven track record as a leader of people – the kind of leader people WANT to follow because of empathy, the ability to develop, coach and grow an ambitious team of problem solvers and product leaders.

What You'll Do:

  • Coordinate finances and budgets in MyPPM, ensure accurate billing and contributing to forecasting and accrual processes to maintain financial integrity and support organizational objectives
  • Manage teams developing technology-based products, aligning with business goals and operational challenges
  • Grow, coach and build the leaders of tomorrow through empathy, trust, integrity and example.
  • Lead product lifecycle management from definition and planning through production, release, and end-of-life, ensuring alignment with business and market needs
  • Own the full-cycle development process, from conceptualization to delivery, collaborating closely with engineering teams and other collaborators
  • Define and implement product strategies and roadmaps, integrating technical requirements to drive success
  • Supervise and support solution design, maximizing user-centric techniques and technical activities to facilitate end-to-end delivery and support
  • Provide technical guidance to ensure quality, volume, and timely product delivery
  • Apply expertise in digital technologies to guide teams and serve as a market proxy
  • Specialize in product ecosystems, identifying opportunities for automation and applying expertise to drive continuous improvement and innovation
  • Engage in organizational estimation and planning, providing technical recommendations and solutions
  • Track and assess new technologies to inform strategic decisions and recommendations
  • Supervise the creation of compelling presentations for partners, demonstrating excellent communication skills to drive strategic direction

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 years of related work experience
  • Technology Product Management and Technology Project Management Experience
  • Experience working with C-level
  • Demonstrated experience digging into data details, analyzing data to understand how they connect, and understanding of how changes to the tool’s framework impact the data
  • Ability to visualize and build dashboards and develop marketing and training materials to communicate business value and capabilities to the broader organization
  • Strong organization, planning, and task leadership skills including the ability to prioritize tasks to get results as business needs evolve maintaining alignment with overall plans
  • Outstanding proficiency with MS Excel and MS Word, and high proficiency with MS PowerPoint tools
  • You are an authority in digital product management, industry standards, best practices and people management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of Agile technical practices
  • Previous experience with JIRA, Smartsheet, or similar tools
  • An understanding of Content Management Systems (CMS), ideally with experience in automating processes
  • A working understanding of AI, with demonstrated growth

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience

 


The hiring range for this position in California is $141,900 to $190,300 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
